The Abridged Version: By now, you shoud know what to expect from a Devils Film video: well-executed porn with little to no tease sequences and an over-emphasis on penetration shots. The lighting will be pretty much stellar and the sound flawless, with no deceptive audio tricks putting moans or dirty talk into a girl's mouth as other companies are apt to do. Their titles are straightforward sex and the no-nonsense way in which they are presented reflects that. I used to love this. Now, I find it dreadfully boring which, as I have said in past reviews, is the worst thing porn can be. But all the cool kids in the AdultDVDTalk forum are raving about this new girl Sammie Rhodes and she does look great on the cover of Devils Film's new Teen Tryouts: Audition 37. After all, I checked out Teagan for similar reasons in Devils Film's Butt Cream Pie 4 and it ended up being a great DVD. So, with some reservation I sit down to review this and am reminded for 26 minutes of why I once loved Devils Films. Then Sammie's must-see scene, including what might be her first on-camera squirt (I could be wrong), ends and the others begin. Sativa Rose is decent, Ashley Jordan is still camera shy and not quite in porn shape yet, Mary Jane is still too timid, and Kat is nice but wholly unattractive to me. Maybe they should have just put Sammie in all 5 scenes. As it is, 4 of the 5 scenes are that nasty B word I mentioned earlier. One good scene does not a great or even good tape make.

Scene 1: Sammie Rhodes (cover girl, has back tattoos not seen on cover) w/Mark Ashley (26 minutes)

Sammie is not the kind of girl I usually go for. With her blonde hair and Tara Reid-like face, she reminds me of many a sorority chick I have run into or been in class with on campus. Final Thought: I look at this way. Does anyone remember if Nice Rack 4 was really a good movie? No. In fact, that tape kind of sucked. What people remember is that Tera Patrick was in it and was on the cover. Teen Tryouts 37 also kind of sucks but, damnit, Sammie Rhodes is in it and she's on the cover. That girl is going to be big in this business, I tell you. Big! She has the face. She has the body. RENT IT or BUY IT: RENT IT. Sammie's scene is a must-see. The DVD is not a must-have.
