Initial Expectations: Smash has been coming out with some hot movies lately, and is almost always worth a look. I’m looking forward to this one.

Initial Reaction: There’s a couple weaker scenes, but for the most part it’s darn hot.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don’t think I noticed a single background noise in the entire movie. The video is also very nicely done. There’s a few spots that are slightly pixelated, but it’s normally clear and nicely lit.

Music: None

Menus: The menus are very well done. The main menu gives a very good first impression combining a little animation with the boxcover. The chapter menu shows just as much care, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene as well as the people in the scene. After you choose a scene, you’re given a secondary menu where you can choose what part of the scene you want to go to. Some studios advertise giving you Direct Scene and Action Access on their boxcovers and then give you the plain shitty chapter menu. Smash actually gives it to you without feeling the need to stretch their cover advertisements beyond what they actually do. In fact, here they once again give you even more than they advertise on the cover.

The Feature

Teen Idol goes with a well proven idea: unrelated sex scenes. Okay, they are joined by having barely legal girls in each scene, but there’s nothing to tie the scenes together. Instead, each scene normally starts with a little lead-in and quickly gets into the action.

Scene 1 - Nautica Thorn, Holly Morgan, and Mark Ashley

Nautica, wearing a see through white top, white knee high stockings, and a pink and white plaid skirt, starts things out writing on the blackboard on how she will not blow Mr. Jones and swallow his cum in detention while Holly, wearing a pair of low rider jeans and a sexy top, watches. Nautica isn’t a girl I’ve paid much attention to, but after watching her here I feel like I’ve been missing out. Holly also does a nice job despite not doing a lot in the scene. Yes, the scene does have a little bit of an odd feeling now and then with only Nautica taking on Mark, but she does a good job for just playing with Nautica through most of the scene. The only thing I’d be tempted to change in this scene is to have Nautica eat Holly’s pussy a little as she’s getting fucked. This is a very hot scene that definitely starts Teen Idol off right.

Scene 2 - Paris Lee and Rick Masters

Dark haired Paris, who looks remarkably like Paris Hilton, starts things out on the toilet before Rick shows up to help her get into porn. For her first scene Paris Lee does a great job and Rick has just the right sleaziness about him to make him “testing” her for porn work really well. The location makes for some odd camera shots that didn’t quite work for me, but there’s nice energy and decent chemistry. This scene is a little weaker, but how well you like it might have a lot to do with how hot you think Paris Hilton is.

Scene 3 - Christina Agave and Kurt Lockwood

Christina is in the middle of diddling herself to some porn when she’s caught by Kurt, who stops by looking for her sister. I love how they keep going back to how he fucks her sister, and the overall feel of the scene. This just might be my favorite scene in the movie.

Scene 4 - Gia and Steven St. Croix

Chauffeur Steven delivers Gia home in a stretch hummer on her eighteenth birthday before she decides that she wants to fuck him. There’s a little something about the scene that I can’t quite put my finger on that didn’t work for me about the scene, but it’s still nicely enjoyable.

Scene 5 - Kimmie Cream and Scott Nails

Brunette Kimmie, who looks quite cute in her pigtails, white shirt, and blue and white plaid skirt, brings Scott home to have her way with him. Teen Idol is a nicely done barely legal movie. I’ll readily admit that I’m not much of a fan of barely legal movies. I think part of this is that so many people have this need for the girls to continually scream out things like “Oh yeah! Fuck my eighteen year, one month, and seventeen day pussy!” rather than just doing a little lead-in with a young looking girl to let you know that she’s eighteen years old. Mike Metropolis does that extremely well with Teen Idol, and it really raises up some of the scenes. I love the setup in Christina, Gia, Holly, and Nautica’s scenes! They’re fun and sexy, and Metropolis manages to do it without being at all degrading. The sex is passionate and energetic in most of the scenes, and I rarely ever felt myself getting bored with any of the scenes. Mike Metropolis makes a very nice Smash debut with Teen Idol.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts a little over two minutes and gives you six seconds per nice looking snapshot. In a nice touch, it also lets you know how often it will advance and tells you that you can easily advance faster if you’d like. Trailers are included for Camel Toe Perversions, Cum Catchers, Easy Prey, Legal Skin 16, My Playtoy 3, and Shitty Shitty Bang Bang. There’s also weblinks and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts almost seventeen minutes. It starts out with Holly in the makeup chair with Alaura Eden showing that she does have other talents. After a quick talk with Holly and Nautica, things move on to Paris Lee. Paris shows off a bubbly personality and sings a little before Kimmie talks about her limited anal experience. Gia plays around with a balloon outside before Christina and Kurt play around and then shoot some of their scene. It moves back to Nautica and Hollie as they get ready for their scene and shoot their photos before watching Paris strut back and forth a little more. Gia returns for a little chat before Paris and Christina shoot a bit more of their scenes. It’s a nice behind the scenes featurette and gives you a little of everything you could hope for.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. At the low end this one’s a decent buy. The sex has a couple stutters but is normally pretty got. The technical aspects show some nice care, as do the extras. As is usual with Smash Pictures lately, this is a nicely put together DVD.
