Initial Expectations: Teen Idol was pretty darn good, and Mike Metropolis has been impressing me with the stuff he’s done with Smash. I’m going into this one with pretty good expectations.

Initial Reaction: It’s another winner and has a fantastic variety.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is good, but has a few very minor problems. There’s a few areas where it seems a little muddy or feels maxed out where it gets slightly scratchy with the more vocal girls and you can hear Tony being given a direction or two in the fourth scene. The video is much the same way. It’s very well lit, but normally seems right on the edge of being focused unless it’s a fairly close focus. I’m not quite sure if Mike Metropolis was going for a slightly more artistic look or not, but it did detract from the movie slightly for me.

Menus: As usual, Smash’s menus show some very nice care. The main menu has some very good animation that showcases the girls while the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl in each scene. After you choose a girl, you’re given a secondary menu that lets you choose where to go in the scene sexually.

The Feature

Teen Idol 2 collects five more scenes all revolving around teen girls. Each scene has a lead-in which normally revolves around the Teen Idol contest. Each girl has a special skill that they want to show the judges, and some are willing to do whatever it takes to win. Now if they can just make it there...

Scene 1 - Cassie Young and Mark Ashley

There’s great chemistry here, which part of me hates to admit since Buster’s ugly enough that Ed Powers could comment on his looks without appearing a hypocrite. Amazingly, he does manage a good pop here rather than giving a sub-par or faked pop like I normally expect from him. All that said about the guys, I can’t help but think that their looks added to the overall scene. Do I care for their looks? Heck no, but at the same time the rough look that both guys had definitely played well with the intense and dominating sex of the scene. If it were done with some of the “pretty boys” of porn I don’t think it would have had close to the edge that Buster and Brian’s looks give it here. This is a hot and energetic scene, and the only thing that holds it back at all is the guys’ looks, but at the same time even that plays into the scene.

Scene 4 - Jasmine Tame and Tony T.

Teen Idol 2 is another impressive release from Mike Metropolis and Smash Pictures. For me, this one had almost everything I could dream of, and the only thing that’s really missing from the movie is double penetrations and lesbian action. Other than that, it’s all here. The sex nicely mixes anal, cream pies, domination, and group sex, and just as importantly mixes in a great framework. All too often porn movies seem to end up in a rut where the scenes seem to run together, so the variety of sex acts here really stood out to me in a big way and really helped Teen Idol 2 work for me. The Teen Idol competition is somewhere in the background, and makes for a nice way to bring together some varied sex scenes. Cassie Young and Mark Ashley definitely started things on the right foot with me in the first scene, and I darn near fell out of my chair laughing with the banter between them. It nicely continues into the other scenes which kept me enjoying the movie as a whole rather than having the remotest thought of grabbing the remote to get to the action. The other detail that stuck out to me here was the guys. Smash has brought in some darn fine cocksmen in their last few releases, and it just gets better here with Mark Ashley being added to the mix for what I think might be his first Smash release. Some of them aren’t the best looking, such as Brian Surewood (who in the behind the scenes usually seems like a pretty cool cat so I can understand Smash wanting to keep him around), Buster Good, and Tony T., but they all deliver solid fuckings for the fine females in this fantastic fuck flick. Teen Idol 2 is definitely worth checking out and has me looking forward to Teen Idol 3.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with about six seconds per great looking snapshot. There’s also a behind the scenes featurette and weblinks.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts nearly a half hour. It starts out talking with Cassie about coming out to the coast with her mom to shoot some porn and to celebrate her mom’s birthday. The technical aspects seem slightly weaker than most of Smash’s recent releases, but there’s some very nice effort put into the behind the scenes. Once again, Smash has put out a DVD worth paying attention to!
