Wash West is know for directing very story driven
porn, and with a title like Technical Ecstasy, I
wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I popped
this in the ol’ DVD player. I don’t remember the
last time I saw a plot in a porno that didn’t
completely fall apart at the end. Technical
Ecstasy’s story holds up remarkably well, though,
so in this review, I’ll make sure I don’t give
away any of the plot. As our story starts off, Chad Kennedy wakes up in the countryside (naked) and begins walking around looking for signs of life. Eventually, he runs into Sam Crockett, who is looking better than I ever remember. Sam sounds extra sexy with his Texas accent as he asks “Do you want to taste some cowboy cock?” Chad jumps at the chance and does a fine job of taking Sam’s dick down to the root. It’s very hot stuff, but we’re just getting warmed up! Sam leads Chad into his motor home, where the real fun begins. Chad rolls over on his stomach, and Sam slowly plunges that huge cock of his deep into Chad’s tight ass. There’s some truly awesome penetration shots here, and you can just tell that Chad’s lovin every minute of it. Dean is back again, this time in a quick oral scene with Drew Andrews. The whole scene is centered on Drew’s penis, and for good reason. It’s beautiful! I usually don’t like all oral scenes, but Drew’s cock is definitely worthy of the special attention! No great porn epic would be complete without a leather scene, and Technical Ecstasy is no exception. Joe Romero is the leather master, Mark Hamilton is the slave, and Jon Eric is the onlooker. Once let out of his cage, Mark is strapped up in a sling where Joe gives him the fucking of his life. Jon seems a little hesitant at first, but eventually lines up with Joe and they take turns stuffing their cocks down Mark’s orifices. This is the only scene in this flick that didn’t work for me. I’m not exactly why, though. I guess it just doesn’t have that certain “spark” the others have. It does have some big, gooshy cumshots, though. They took quite a risk in the final scene… it’s shot completely in Black and White. I’ve only seen this done once before, in Titan’s Desert Train, and it seriously drove me nuts. It doesn’t bother me so much here though. If you listen to the director’s commentary, they explain why it was done, and it does kind of make sense. Anyway, Jon Eric invites Derek Cameron up to his apartment, and quickly seduces him. (Hey, Jon wouldn’t have to work too hard to seduce me, either. He is one heck of a sexy mofo!) The sex is scorching, and we are once again treated to Derek bouncing up and down on a nice big, juicy cock. (I wonder why Derek had a bandaid on his back, though?) What can I say except “WOW!” It’s amazing what a difference a talented director makes. Technical Ecstasy is one of the best-directed and edited pornos I’ve ever seen. It’s very professionally done, and superbly acted. The story is really interesting, and I was actually intrigued about how it was going to end. The picture quality is excellent, and there is an unbelievable amount of extras included, featuring an interview with Jon Eric, previews, director’s commentary, behind the scenes footage, bloopers and more.
