Forget the cheerleader costumes and little white panties approach to the teen-themed porno flick - Tamed Teens’ rough edged take on the topic may come as something of a shock to the system to viewers who prefer their young porn babes be eased gently into the swing of things. Rabbit-in-the-headlight moments abound as anonymous cocksmen, acting under the director’s heavy-handed instruction, impose male domination by means of ruthless throat fucking and intense ass-reaming to initiate helpless young Romanian cuties into the world of pornosex, as depicted through the steely gaze of director Raul Cristian.

Forceful manhandling, spit and slap, stern anal examinations, hard, indeed harsh DPs and some genuinely rough deep throat (to the extent that someone’s lunch nearly reappears) are the order of the day, though this does make each scene much of a muchness with only the ratio of girls to boys varying.

The fact that this is simply a compilation of scenes taken from the tamedteens.com web site quickly becomes evident, as there’s little in the way of preamble – just name, age and origin - before the action kicks in hard and fast. This is good and bad – nothing outstays its welcome, but there’s precious little personality on show as nothing, but nothing, gets in the way of a relentless procession of hard, physical fucking.

The girls are cute rather than stunning – I like the pretty blonde Erika, or Enrika/Enryka, who appears in two scenes here, one DP scene on her own, one with a brunette called Mary. Ely and Maryan (or Mary Anne or Marian, take yer pick), dyed-blonde and skinny brunette respectively, and bubbly, buxom blonde Jacqueline (they give her a megaphone as if her wailing wasn’t loud enough) all chip in with their deep throat and anal sex talents before busty Helen gets four cocks all to herself in a rather unsatisfying scene.

Leggy, tanned and toned brunette Cornelia or Cory Devil is the one exception. Her fiery attitude and apparently genuine enthusiasm provides the only real spark, in a scene where the apparently overwhelmed little blondie Flory provides a clearer indication of the general style of the movie – it’s all about girls demonstrating unquestioning compliance than actually enjoying it. Cory has a real defiant, bring-it-on attitude (shades of Sandra Romain?) and her energy and physicality mean she’s well matched to the macho guys. She even pees when she deep throats – how cute is that?

Style wise...

Technically, the scenes are all clearly and crisply shot with less of the wildly swooping camera moves that I know some viewers find very annoying in Cristian’s other work. One can see the influence of Pierre Woodman’s gonzo scenes in the way Cristian reaches out from behind the camera to paw the girls and chuck in some verbal abuse (girls are habitually addressed as “bitch” rather than by name), also in the way the guys are pretty much used as faceless props for the director, but the actual action is more like another step in the grand tradition established by the likes of Christoph Clark and Jean-Yves Le Castel, with plenty evidence of the influence of the rough edge of contemporary American porn. Perhaps most relevant is the comparison with Frank Major’s stuff for 21Sextury (for whom Cristian worked in the past) and perhaps Sineplex – as much for the latter’s production-line feel as for the quality of the production, as Tamed Teens is a hell of a lot slicker.

In Conclusion...

So in a nutshell, Tamed Teens is 2 hours or so of action-packed, hard-edged porn where the pace rarely slackens. If you just want to see girls get nailed all ends up, then this movie should do the trick. For me, I like to see a little more variety, creativity and passion in my porn, so that’s why I have to conclude that Tamed Teens just doesn’t do enough for me. I’d love to see Raul Cristian actually put some kind of context around the scenes and break away a little from this formula approach. Sure, he’s clearly hit on a style that works, one that enables him to knock out slick scenes in short order, but is it enough for a full DVD release that holds your attention? On this evidence, I don’t think so.
