Taken is an erotic short film from writer Viva and directors Viva, Gala Vanting, and Aven Frey. Taken is an art film that takes a spoken word free verse poem, that is written and performed by Viva, and sets it to visuals that go along with what is being described in the poetry.

The poem describes a woman who goes out nightly to wait for her late-night stranger who will take her, with her permission, for nights of sexual adventure. The poem is beautifully written and very erotically-charged. The words create visuals and feelings within the viewer, without the need for the accompanying visuals. Viva delivers the verse wonderfully.

Moving images, shot by Gala Vanting and Aven Frey, are imposed on each other to create a visual account of the poetry that the viewer is hearing. The imagery is sultry and seductive, even though it is free of any actual hardcore material.

Taken is beautiful and erotic and makes for superb viewing. Taken also shows that an erotic film doesn't need any hardcore material to be effective. Taken is highly recommended.

Sensate Films has done an excellent job with their streaming-only edition of Taken. Taken was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1. Taken looks fantastic with a clean, clear, and crisp image with beautiful colors.

Taken is presented with an English Stereo audio track. The sound quality is excellent. The dialog in the short film is clear and easy to understand at all times.

Sensate Films didn't include any extras with their streaming-only edition of Taken.
