Cons: poor video, poorly placed chapter stops, no chick ID, lack of features, who the heck is Tommy?

Why I have it: Do you really have to ask? I got three words for you…Lesbian…Masturbation…Party. Any one of those words is good on it's own. Combine them and I'm surprised I didn't cream from reading the title alone.

Overall:
I love to watch good looking chicks touch themselves. I even like to see the act presented in an artsy, visual way or something that is more stripped down, raw, and intimate. DVDs could not get much better at covering the artsy, visual approach than Diva Girls (though I certainly welcome them to keep trying), but I have longed for something to fully fill a certain void. Ideally I want an intimate setting with some nice dirty talk. Too often the titles that come close to it are too good at shooting themselves in the foot, either by providing unattractive girls, oversized dildos, terrible music, poor video, or a forced feel to the movie. For example, even the better scenes in She Squirts and Screaming Orgasms titles that I have seen were just a little to formulaic for me. They gave the impression that all women like to masturbate pretty much the same way and that they like to masturbate the way they think guys want them to masturbate. Rub here. Stick finger in. Grab big dildo. Grab bigger dildo. Jump on the amazing orgasm machine. Did you like that?

Tabitha's Lesbian Masturbation Party from the start, shoots itself in the foot by offering the video quality of a reasonably used VHS tape. However, it also quickly avoided a scathing review, by offering something that is way too lacking in porn, sensuality and demanding patience. Curiosity is peaked. My attention is fixated. I don't know where I will be led and I know that I will have to be patient unless I hit fast forward. I am reminded that masturbation is approached differently by women. It can be more of a process. Light stroking of the thigh may not be orgasmic, but, if left out, the whole experience would be less fulfilling. Don't get me wrong, I know that women sometimes just want to get to the point, and I do like the 'get to the point' style, but I do not like how often porn ignores a more patient style. The sensuality in this DVD does a good job making up for the poor video. Oddly enough, the poor video may have made this DVD even better. Some scenes can almost make you feel that the video was made especially for you (note to producers: don't accept this as an excuse to use poor video).

Another thing I did not like about this DVD is that it did not match my hopes given the title. I have really longed for a Lesbian Masturbation Party where a few girls gather around and play with themselves while they watch the other girls play with themselves. This DVD does not have that. Rather it offers a few solo scenes and one lesbian scene with three girls. It may be a compilation of scenes from other titles.

Breakdown:

Scene one: Tabitha sits at a table drinking a coke. The phallic shape of a straw sets off sexual urges. She plays with the straw and licks it, then her hands slowly wander over parts of her clothed body. She definitely had my interest because I had no idea where the scene was going. A few minutes pass before you even get to see a nipple. I even like watching her lick her toes, and I don't have a thing for feet.

The scene ends abruptly without any masturbation. I am not quite sure how I feel about that. I liked the start so much that I still liked the scene, but it could have been an incredible scene if it would have kept on going continuously.

Scene two: Three girls start out rather playfully. They giggle quite a bit for awhile until they get more involved. Lots of sensual caressing and licking. A good scene. It is really nice watching these girls touch each other.

Scene three: Brittany, a tight-bodied blond with big breasts, welcomes you to her bedroom. She also takes a few minutes before you get to see so much as a nipple. She talks throughout the scene and wants you to play with yourself while she plays with herself(Note to all female performers and directors: this is a turn on..big time). It is obvious that Brittany is putting on a show, but she was in control of the show and that is OK with me. A good scene, though it ends a little unexpectedly.

Scene four: A good looking blonde chick gets horny in the kitchen. She rubs ice cubes on her body, caresses herself and plays with a banana. Another good scene.

Scene five: Tabitha returns (the picture quality is worse here). This time she is already naked on the bed and ready for action. There is no teasing here. She did that all ready and now it is time to get to the point. Tabitha uses her fingers, a vibrator, and a dildo while talking nasty all along (though I wish she wouldn't have called me Tommy). Yet another good scene.

Shelf life: Ain't going anywhere soon. I know I'd regret it if I got rid of it.

Bottom line: As a masturbation flick it is pretty darn good. If the price is less than $10 you probably won't be disappointed. I've had this looped for the past 4 hours and I still like looking over and seeing the pretty things. As a DVD it offers only one real advantage over VHS…you can loop it.
