Behind-The-Scenes : (20 minutes) During hair-dressing, Mercedez (with a rather unflattering light shining over her head) talks about the stripping circuit and her stripper friends, but it's difficult to hear anything. The camera guy tries to interview lead Natalia Wood, but she's not in a talkative mood. Thomas rehearses some non-sex scenes with Mercedez & the crew in the strip club, then explains the way he approaches a porn scene. Then it's back to a longer interview with Natalia after she's improvised a piano session. A BTS that's just as moody as the actual film.

Short Story : A waitress at the "Silver Reign" strip bar, Holly has dreams of being loved and worshipped like the club's feature star Tammy. But when tough bitch Tammy shatters her illusions and steals her father as well as the man of her dreams, all hell breaks loose in the latent psycho's head.


SCENE BREAKDOWN :

1) NATALIA WOOD & MARTY ROMANO

Natalia comes home in the morning to her loser boyfriend jacking at some gonzo movie. He orders her to give him head, which Natalia reluctanly agrees to, almost falling asleep on his dick. But Romano won't let her rest, grabbing her skull to impale it on his cock, in a scene that's high on humiliation (for a Vivid movie). Marty takes her very hard in doggy, then in mish, which Natalia's character (yes, they do fuck in character !) seems to hate & crave at the same time. THE LOWDOWN : It had been a long time since a Paul Thomas movie hadn’t left me with such a sour aftertaste. Besides Trevor Zen (surprisingly good in his supporting role), there’s not one redeemable character in "Sweetie Baby", and the whole affair is one long exposé on human mediocrity. Though Natalia Wood sometimes overplays her loony lead, Mercedez is beyond perfect as the bitchy club diva with an acid tongue and the whole cast in general does a terrific job. Maybe too good a job, as the viewer may find it hard to sexually enjoy those horrible characters sexual shenanigans, however hot some of the scenes are. "Sweetie Baby" is a good movie, which you can watch back to back and enjoy the twisted storyline of, but is it a good PORN movie ? A tainted and interesting ride, certainly, but whose jackability is definitely compromised by its subject. Watch and make your own mind.
