The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are on the artistic side of things, but show some good care. The audio is pretty clear and well balanced, and didn't show any noticeable background noises. That statement is a little deceiving, however, as most of the movie has only music for the audio. The video is also well done. It has a very artistic feel due to filters being used to tint the video and add a bit of grain. There's also black and white footage mixed in to further dress things up. Most of the camera work is well done, but there is a little camera motion now and then which has a slightly rough feeling. Although this stood out to me, at the same time it worked for the movie by adding another artistic level to the presentation. It might not be perfect, but the look and sound of The Super Divas Diary really worked for me.

Music: The music is nicely done. It's often a bit loud or the entire audio, but at the same time it works with the artistic look of the movie. It has a stylish and modern feel, and is definitely sexy. The music in The Super Divas Diary definitely helps out the movie.

Menus: The main menu is okay. It has some nice animation and a decent style, but is often so bright that it was hard to see. The chapter menu is shows some nice care, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene.

The Feature

The downside to the scene for me was the lack of a pop, which I guess wasn't too big of a surprise as Seth isn't exactly known for strong finishes. This scene might not have pleased me completely, but it's still a great start to the movie.

Scene 2 – Brittney Skye, Nicki Hunter, and James Deen

It might not be my thing, but if you're a fan of orgies I can't see you going away from this one disappointed. My only complaint here is that there's some dang nice talent such as Jennifer Luv, Lucy Lee, and Felix Vicious who only appear here and never anywhere else in the movie. Even if it didn't work overly well for me, this was a great scene to end the movie with.

With The Super Divas Diary, Tall Goddess shows that the porno camera is definitely not reserved for men only. The movie does a great job blending sex and art, and even when the scenes weren't quite my thing or seemed a bit much of one style for me they always showed care and felt well done. My biggest problem with those “not quite my thing” scenes was that there was a very strong emphasis on oral sex in the movie, and I'm not a big fan of oral sex scenes. I don't mind one or two now and then, but five out of eight scenes is definitely way too much for me. My other complaint is some of the cast interaction. Lucy Lee and Shy Love normally turn out a great dominant scene, but here they're limited to the group scene. I'm not sure how Jennifer Luv is with them, but I know she's impressed me in the past and has a nice following that I'm sure will be disappointed when they see her limited to some minor orgy action. Sadly, she gets a lot more action than Felix Vicious, who I was really looking forward to. That isn't to say that The Super Divas Diary is a waste of time, because there's a lot to like here. I love the female domination aspect, and the sex shows some nice touches such as the oral scene that's for the women instead of guys. Tall Goddess shows off some great directorial skill here. She's put together a cast that works great together as well as some very nice talent behind the camera. The camera work mixes up angles very well and it's all edited together extremely well with some great artistic style. I love the tints and filters to the video, and the costumes for the girls showed just as much care and style. I was immediately drawn into the movie by its style as well as the sex. Super Divas Diary has a few faults, but it also shows some great care and style and gives another reason why Tall Goddess is worth paying attention to behind the camera.

Currently, The Super Divas Diary can be found online at venus-girls.com for about $35. This is a bit high, but you can occasionally find it online at other stores for much less. I can't help but wish that a few stores had this one for rent as it's well done enough that I really want to recommend it to people, but it's something that I think is either going to hit very hard with people or end up missing or feeling fairly average. The sex is nicely done and artistic, and there's some very nice attention paid to the technical aspects. Sadly there isn't any real effort put into the extras, but it's still a very well done movie.
