Review:
At the behest of wise ole Grandma Bunny, the heartbroken-yet-bubbly Sunny Goldmelons (Melody Marks) departs from the comfy confines of Roosterpoop, Arkansas to embark upon a journey to Los Angeles. Her goal? To fulfill her family's destiny and to bring joy unto the world. Along the way, she blithely bumbles from one odd sexual encounter to another, as her twofaced antagonist "friend", Marlene Thornbush (Chanel Camryn), constantly dogs her every move. Facing trial upon tribulation, it ultimately begs the questions: Will Sunny fulfill the prophecy? Will she ever find true love? Or will that dirty (...but oh so hot...) Thornbush finally thwart her and win the day? So goes Sunny Gold Melons, an exceptional 2024 release from Wicked Pictures and director Eddie Nova.
Shades of the old, late-70s "Candy" films starring the leggy legend (and Gong Show girl), Carol Connors, (....but better...) this release offers up an utterly hilarious look at an effervescent blonde ingenue, Goldmelons, embarking upon an adventure that should put her in way over her head. The saving grace? She's too ditzy and naive to realize any of it...and she simply goes along for the ride. Needless to say, Marks plays this part gloriously, coming off as believable, silly, and endearing all at once. (It's difficult not to fall for her character.)
Of course, every hero needs a villain, every yin a yang, and so on, and that's where Camryn's aptly named "Thornbush" comes in. Indeed, Chanel (who had one heckuva 2024) nails the part of the devious, backstabbing "friend" to perfection. Her brooding jealousy drives her to no end in pursuing Sunny and, often clumsily, in trying to sabotage her every step along the way. Camryn's award-winning performance is as sexy as it is effortlessly sound. Loved it!
In terms of the sex, Scene One pairs up Marks with her "uncle" in the City of Angels, Tommy Pistol, for a chuckle-filled fucking that brings the laughs along with the banging. Closing out with a pop on Melody's chest, this oral and vaginal affair tickles the funny bone as much as the other bone. (If Pistol weren't in this release, it would have been a tragedy.)
In Scene Two, Melody ends up at a pimp's, Robby ("Take me to the Carwash") Apples', "chateau" with one of Pistol's prostitutes, Nicole Doshi. A blistering boy/girl/girl banger ensues, with the ladies sharing one another's naughty bits, as well as Apples'... well... apple. (Talk about bobbing the knob!)
Scene Three offers up one of the hottest, insta-nut intro sequences captured on film in quite some time, with Chanel Camryn unwittingly finding herself on a James Bartholet porn set. Confronted with two ready-to-go performers--Savvy Suxx and the alpha-male, Charles Dera--she melts seamlessly out of her predicament and into a sex scene. Her bewildered nonchalance and ultimate willingness to partake are played exquisitely, and the fucking that follows is pure fire. An uber-load all over Chanel's tummy and pelvis--followed by some cum-swapping--eventually close out this seductive and sensual boy/girl/girl boffing. Wow! (I need a cigarette... and I don't even smoke.)
In Scene Four, Melody couples up with her hometown hero, Nathan Bronson (in the role of "Luke Butterbeans"; think: Woody from Toy Story, but with... well... a woody), after he's ridden into town to "save" her. Of course, Sunny doesn't need a-savin'... she just needs a good dickin', which is what Bronson is more than capable of doling out. This ride-and-grind, titty-fucker of a reunion culminates in a pop on Marks' tummy out of mish. Nice!
In all, this was one of the top-notch comedic releases of 2024, and--despite being something of a sleeper--it more than deserved the accolades that it ultimately received. Its script and dialog are exceptional, as are the performances of all of its participants in their respective roles, particularly Marks and Camryn. Generally speaking, the cinematography is strong, as well, as is the costuming. If you're looking for some kooky fun along with your fucky-fucky, be sure to check this one out! It won't disappoint. Kudos to all involved!
