NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are surprisingly well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and although there are a couple very minor background noises, they're minor enough to never draw attention to themselves. The video is presented in the full frame format and is very well done. There's a few shadows, but for a homemade movie they're almost nonexistent. There's also a touch of grain, but once again it's not enough to interfere with the movie for its format. For a homemade movie, the technical aspects here are extremely well done.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower right corner for the first scene and the upper right corner for the second scene. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didn’t notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six stills.

The Feature

Scene 1 – Summer

Scene 3 – Summer and Scott

Here it stands out even more because it's such a great part of the scene. This is a very hot and very enjoyable scene.

Scene 4 – Summer and Scott

Summer starts out the next scene lying back on the bed completely naked with her knees in the air. Scene 5 – Summer and Scott

Scene 6 – Summer and Scott

This scene didn't really add anything. It's a nice moment or two with Scott and Summer, but it feels like a fraction of a scene rather than anything really special. At just under five minutes I can't say that it did much for the overall DVD, and might have even brought it down a notch. This scene would have been much better if it were included as a bonus or deleted scene on the DVD rather than as an actual part of the movie.

Summer and Scott 1 is a very nicely done homemade movie. As with so many other homemade movies it's almost completely shot from the tripod, which brings in a few limitations for the video. That said, Scott seems to have a very good handle on where the camera's aimed throughout the movie. Yes, it's a bit tight on the action for my tastes, but that's not unusual for this type of movie. What is unusual is how well the action is normally centered in the frame and how little of the action is lost. The other thing that really helps out the movie is the chemistry and Summer's vocals. It's obvious that she has a bit of freak in her, and Scott lets a bit of it out very well while coming off as a very caring lover and leaving plenty of hope for future volumes. Summer and Scott 1 was supposedly made for their own use at home before they talked with Shot at Home, and as such it's a wonderful testament to their sex life that's well worth checking out.

Scott and Summer are both good looking, and there's plenty of chemistry between them. They have a good handle on how to work the camera, and the technical aspects are nicely handled. Shot at Home also puts some effort into extras to make this a very nice homemade DVD.

Note to Shot at Home: This was a very nice find. I hope you take some of the short little sequences like you closed this volume with and include them as something like “Deleted Scenes” as an extra rather than including them in the main movie in the future.
