Submissive Wives is a vignette-style BDSM-lite all sex movie written and directed by Kay Brandt. Submissive Wives presents the viewer with four sex scenes; each of the sex scenes takes on the same design. There is a short lead-in where the wife of the scene gives a voice over about love followed by the husband of the scene with his voice over about love. The opening voice overs are set to visuals of the husband and wife in a romantic setting.

After the voice overs end, the scene then goes into the actual sex scene. The scenes each start slowly with the couple lightly playing with each other and some light BDSM aspects before going into the full-blown sex scene. The BDSM and the sex scenes stay light in nature making both perfectly acceptable for couples and viewers who don't like the more intense aspects of BDSM.

Submissive Wives looks good. The sets picked are bright and inviting, and none of the sets are cramped allowing for ample camera angles. Nate Liquor has done a great job as the director of photography getting the camera operators to capture the actors and actresses well.

The cast does a great job with the sexual portions of the movie, which shouldn't surprise anyone with performer names like Riley Nixon, Small Hands, and Angela White. Each scene consists of one male and one female, as the viewer should expect from a movie titled Submissive Wives. The couples do a great job of projecting familiarity and intimacy with each other — be it real or fake for the camera — to allow the belief that each of the couples is, in fact, a married couple.

The dialog for the voice overs is good and fits the nature of the movie well. The delivery of the voice overs could have used a little work. Too often the voice-over work sounded stilted. This reviewer thinks more time becoming comfortable with the voice over material would have helped the delivery sound more natural.

Fans of softer all sex movies should find a lot to like in Submissive Wives. The cast is exceptional, and the movie looks nice. Fans who like a short story style vignette movie will not be as pleased since, in design, Submissive Wives is an all sex movie.

Submissive Wives is presented with an English Stereo audio track. As with the video, the sound quality is top notch with no discernible defects. The dialog in the movie is easy to understand at all times.

Submissive Wives is an enjoyable hardcore all sex scene collection featuring husbands and wives participating in BDSM-lite sex scenes. The actors and actresses in the movie are excellent and give impressive sexual performances in this lighthearted and breezy movie that is fully acceptable for viewing by couples.
