Stryker Force Review

I first saw Stryker Force years ago (the copyright says 1987, seems earlier than that somehow) and decided to revisit it. I’m a big fan of hunky, smooth guys with big dicks, and there are certainly enough in this film to fill the bill. Also I remembered and often fantasized about a hot scene with Jeff Stryker and Steve Hammond and wanted to see if was really as good as I remembered.

The video starts off with Jeff, Steve, and John Farley (purporting to be Steve’s dad) meeting to set up an implausible story line having to do with a fortune in lost diamonds which Farley wants the guys to recover for him. There is no love lost between Steve and his father or between Steve and his "cousin," Jeff; but the 2 boys agree to join together to try to get the diamonds.

Before they leave for the jungle, however, we’re treated to a 2-man tryst in a box car between Jim Pulvar and Ted Dowell, while outside Steve Hammond and a band of very hunky shirtless friends posture and flex. Pulvar isn't the most handsome or best built guy you'll see, but he's hung nicely and puts his meat to good use. Dowell, though, is very handsome, if a bit thin. The sex inside is not bad. Pulvar really gets into it, and Dowell obviously enjoys himself sucking him first, and then getting fucked. Both boys are soon naked and get down to some good fucking, Pulvar giving Dowell a thorough plowing. It’s in this first scene that some of the differences between gay porn videos of that earlier era and the present become apparent. (1) There’s no kissing on the lips (though one gets the distinct impression that at least Dowell would have gone for some of that). (2) There’s absolutely no playing with anyone’s ass-—no rimming, no finger fucking, nothing. (3) The actors’ balls are naturally hairy and unshaven. And (4) the fucking is completely bareback. The visuals are excellent; we’re treated to unimpeded close-ups of Pulvar’s big bare dick stretching Dowell’s hole; the camera is almost always in the right place. The cum shots are OK, but nothing special; and afterwards when the boys are shown dressed and a nice kiss would have been appropriate and seemingly almost irresistable, the brief hugs are a let-down.

In an extension of this scene Pulvar and Dowell are attacked outside the box-car by Hammond and his heavy-duty sexy buddies. They’re saved by Stryker who takes on the group single-handedly with some quick tricky moves. I was impressed by Jeff’s athleticism; he’s a pretty boy who is not only nicely built, but also graceful on his feet. The views of Jeff’s absolutely smooth pecs at the end of the scene are especially delectible.

The next scene is a brief interlude in which Dowell reveals to Jeff that he knows that Steve is gay. In a flash-back we get to watch Dowell sucking Steve’s cock. This scene is pretty hot as far as it goes, because there are splendid views of Steve’s hard dick and beautiful smooth balls. Unhappily, though, we have to be satisfied with the good look we get at Steve’s equipment, because neither he nor Dowell cums.

Next we find our friends in the jungle. Jeff has been joined by Robert Harris and Doug Cory on one team; while Steve is leading another consisting of himself and only the irresistable blond Kevin Williams. Eventually Steve and Kevin get together in a steamy twosome which involves Kevin’s sucking Steve and Steve giving Kevin a forceful plowing. Steve has a beautiful body and a nice, if not gargantuan dick; and though Kevin is not as well built, he’s not at all hard on the eyes. Again, the camera work is great; in close-ups we’re able to see in detail all of the important action. Steve’s cumshot is OK primarily because it's clear that he's enjoying his orgasm. Afterwards Kevin rides him reverse cowboy style and there are excellent shots of Steve’s pretty dick and balls, while Kevin beats himself off as he pumps up and down on Steve’s hard rod. These 2 guys work well together. Kevin obviously enjoys the fucking, and Steve is convincing as the hard-ass aggressor.

Then there is a rather standard 3-way with Jeff, Harris, and Cory. This scene is rather perfunctory Stryke, but the views are good. Jeff’s dick is impressive, though; and it’s always fun to see it in action. At the end Cory is fucking Harris in the butt, while Jeff goes at his face. Jeff’s cumshot is nice, and his facial expressions and body movements make it clear that he really feels his orgasm. Cory's cumshot is monumental; it almost looks like he’s peeing, it’s so voluminous and takes so long.

Gavin Jeffrey appears as an aborigine who spies on the going’s on in the 3-way, and eventually lets us watch him jack off. I don’t know why he was chosen for this scene; his dick’s just average size, and he’s not as well built as many others in the film. Still earlier we got some nice shots of his soft dick bobbing freely as he sneaks through the jungle, and I find that’s always nice.

The final scene is the reason for watching this film. It’s Stryker and Hammond alone, and it is pretty hot—if one remembers that there’s not going to be any real kissing and no ass play. But both of these guys are hot, and the combination of Jeff’s sultry dark looks and Hammond’s pouty golden boy glamour is truly stunning. Remember, this is a relatively early Stryker film, and he’s still maintaining that he’s principally bi-sexual. He’s happy to be sucked and to penetrate; but Heaven forbid that he show he actually likes men. On the other hand, Hammond, while somewhat diffident and unemotional, must be truly gay and might have even welcomed a deep kiss and maybe would have been willing to eat Jeff’s ass. Cetainly he would have happily had his own ass eaten. You can tell Steve’s been fucked before, because in the few vivid close-up frames just before we see Jeff approaching with his big dick in hand, we can actually see Hammond’s hole puckering in anticipation. Moreover, Stryker is easily able to slip that huge banana of his up Steve’s ass without even a flicker of hesitation. The close-ups from various viewpoints show Hammond hole being widely stretched by Stryker's famous bologna--definitely hot! It’s too bad there isn’t more convincing heat between these two really sexy guys; but that is the general failing in Stryker’s work. It takes more than a giant dick and a great muscles to make gay porn really exciting; though I would guess that by the end of this scene most watchers will have taken things well in hand and will probably be popping a load themselves.

This video has been well transferred to DVD. The filming is good throughout, with little or no technical gaffs. The lighting is good; the participants generally physically exciting, and it’s always great to see a real hunk take it up the ass like Hammond does in the last scene.
