Star 69: Brunettes Review

The cover slick description for Vivid’s Star 69: Brunettes says “Presenting 69 of our wildest brunette scenes with the hottest Vivid Superstars in History! Asia Carrera! Sky! Janine! Lanny Barbie! Mercedez! Cassidey! Sunny Leone! Kobe Tai! Christy Canyon! Brea Lynn! You name her; she’s here in the Special Edition gift to all our loyal fans. If you only buy one DVD this year, make it Star 69!” This description is very accurate. Only thing is they forget to mention Nikki Dial and Raquel Darrian also. The other thing they don’t mention is that while they put together a collection of hot girls that were under a Vivid contract, most of the scenes offered aren’t that hot. Actually quite the opposite, this is the classic case of style over substance. With 69 scenes stretched out over 2 disks, each scene clocks in at between 7-10 minutes, hardly enough time to capture the true flavor of the scene. Yes it is hot to see Christy Canyon, Nikki Dial, and a third girl bang a guy, but at 7 minutes, you barely get warmed up. The other bad thing about this set is that you can’t skip all of the Vivid commercials at the beginning but at least you can fast forward through them.

Pluses: Trip down memory lane for all the hot girls of yesteryear.

Minuses: Short scenes that lack heat.

Sleaziness Factor (1-10): 1, not with Vivid, not ever.

Is it worth it? For a collection of last 80’s-early 90’s Vivid girls, yes. For spankable porn, not really.
