The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I always look forward to a decent foot freak flick. I hope this is one of them.

Initial Reaction: There’s some decent action, but as a foot freak feature it’s disappointing.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants a little foot action here and there in the sex scenes

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a heavy emphasis on feet throughout the scenes

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are okay. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn’t hear many background noises. The video is a bit of a mixed back. It’s pretty clear and nicely brings in a bit of black and white footage, but the artistic lights and special effects are very inconsistent and really interfered with things for me.

Music: The music balance varies between being nicely balanced with the rest of the audio and being a little loud. On the plus side, it varies nicely throughout the movie and helps out the scenes a little.

Disc Complaints: There are phone sex and weblink commercials that you can’t skip at the start of the DVD. This always pisses me off, so I’m deducting a half point from the overall score because of it.

Menus: The menus are pretty basic. The main menu has a shot of the cover combined with a clip from the movie while the chapter menu just lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature

Sole Sistas is a vignette feature. The individual scenes are unrelated with the exception of often being interracial and having a bit of a focus on feet. The scene also all have a little lead-in to the sex or a story to set things up.

Scene 1 - Lola and Simone

Exam starts with both Lola and Simone in some nice fetishwear and Simone on a doctor’s table. Lola starts a slow examination of Simone, starting at her feet and taking off Simone’s shoes and sucking her toes. She keeps it up after removing Simone’s stockings before moving up to suck Simone’s tits and eat her pussy. Lola works Simone over on her back wearing a rubber glove and lets her roll over to take a vibe before leaning over the table herself so that Simone can show her a little of what she’s learned. Simone gives each of Lola’s holes a little tonguing before fucking her with a glass dildo from behind. Finally she kisses her from her feet up to her mouth.

This is an okay scene, and it seems to get long quick. Although there’s a little foot action, the girls (especially Simone) don’t really seem into feet. They do have some decent chemistry, but the overall scene is hurt more by the artistic effects which really held back the scene for me.

Scene 2 - Angel Eyes and Steve Hatcher

Garage has Steve taking a break from his mechanic job when Angel arrives. He worships her feet quickly before moving up to eat her pussy, and then works his mouth between her pussy and her feet with plenty of tongue action for her pucker. This is another very average scene. Once again the artistic effects really interfered with the scene for me and the foot aspect wasn’t quite there like I would have hoped for. The scene is also very limited, which makes it feel long. There’s some okay chemistry here, but it just isn’t enough to make the scene work too well.

Scene 3 - Velvet Rose and Tyler Knight

Tyler starts out Stairs having Velvet strut her way up and down a staircase. She gives him a nice tease after he lets her stop, as well as a great blowjob where she takes it all the way into her throat. Velvet lets Tyler eat her a bit and then goes back to sucking his cock, which looks needed since Tyler appears to be having some wood problems. This scene is almost average in almost every way, and as usual it seemed way too long. It was also pretty boring and feet were ignored other than walking and the pop at the end. The lighting is extremely inconsistent, which didn’t help anything for me. I also couldn’t help but wonder if Tyler was a suitcase pimp due to his wood problems, although Velvet was okay. This was probably the weakest scene in the movie.

Scene 4 - Simone, Flick Shagwell, and Chris Cannon

Simone and Flick bring things to a close in the bathroom with Nightclub. After a playful slap fight in the bathroom, Simone works her way up Flick’s leg to her pussy with kisses. Flick returns the favor by eating Simone as she stands in front of her both from in front and from behind before they’re interrupted by Chris. Simone gestures to him to join them, and he comes right in to get a little double knob gobbling from the girls. Simone gets up so Chris can fuck her from behind while Flick moves down to work on Simone’s feet. Flick moves off to watch and work on herself with a glass dildo in each of her holes complete with lots of ass to mouth action. Flick gets in on the action with a little reverse cowgirl while Simone sucks her toes before letting Chris ream her rectum doggie style. Finally, the girls let Chris pop on their feet.

This is easily the best scene in the movie, and actually brought the sex up to an average level as a whole. I love the scene going from two girls to a threesome with great chemistry, and for a change the feet seemed to be a big part of the scene. There’s even some nice angles and a good variety of them, although the scene is held back a little by fuzzy audio and appearing to be shot in drunk-o-vision.

Sole Sistas 3 is a fairly lackluster movie. There’s some nice action in the scenes, but when I pick up a movie like this I normally do it because of the foot aspect than the regular sex aspect. Although they did a nice job with the sex, I rarely felt like the cast was into foot aspect of the movie and that really held it back for me. There are some decent teases to start out the scenes with feet, but that’s about it. The only scene which really deviated from this was the final scene where Flick and Simone kept the foot action going throughout the scene. It also kept a good pace and didn’t feel long and stretched out like most of the scenes. Sole Sistas 3 is an okay porno, but a bit disappointing for a foot freak feature.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for I Love Lacey, Asia Noir 2, Hotel “O” 2, and United Colors of Ass 10. Bios, which nicely include a photo of the star and a little personal information, are included for the entire female cast. The photo gallery includes about twenty nice looking snapshots and full screen photos. There’s also a couple featurettes and commercials for phone sex and weblinks.

The photo shoot featurette lasts about seven minutes. You get an interview with Simone that’s cut with her posing. There’s also a little masturbation and tease footage. This is a hot little featurette, and much better than I could have hoped for. The only problem with it is that Video Team keeps popping up stuff to advertise their website, which was extremely annoying.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about eleven minutes. You get a little of everything here. There’s plenty of time spent talking with the girls and Eli Cross, as well as the girls posing for photos. Rather than bringing things down by popping up crap for their website, Video Team actually identifies most of the cast (as well as director Eli Cross), which helps things out a little. It gives a nice look at the movie, its cast, and its crew, and sadly shows that this was a foot feature where almost everybody involved with it doesn’t seem to be into feet. That explains a lot here.

Currently, many Video Team DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $25 with stores offering them everywhere in between. Rent this one first, as I can see foot freaks being disappointed while others might like the light foot focus. The technical aspects are pretty good, although artistic, and there’s some nice attention given to the extras.

Note to Video Team: You have a very nice start on your DVDs. Now a little polish would be nice, such as a cast listing by scene or listing the performers under each scene in the chapter menu.
