The First Word: Elegant Angel has put together a very nice disc with SodoMania 28, but the feature itself is one of the average ones in the series.

Plot Synopsis: For those of you who aren't familiar with the SodoMania series, which has been going strong since 1992, it is a gonzo series that features several unrelated sex scenes. Each of the scenes has a short story that provides an excuse for the sex (and in terms of story think "skit" rather than "movie"). This Patrick Collins series is more on the extreme side--no loving couples sex here, but lots of anals, facials, and other hard sex. This particular volume of SodoMania has six scenes plus an introduction and closing by SodoMania's host, Brockton O'Toole, who reminds me of someone's eccentric old uncle. :) Here's the breakdown:

"Teacher's Pet Exam" stars Danielle Rogers as a teacher who is having an affair with one of her students. She's at home writing the experience in her computer journal, when the father of the student shows up to talk about his son's obsession with sex. He confronts her, asking her if she has sex with her students, including his son. She denies his allegation, but he shows her a realistic latex genital molding, which his son said that his teacher made of him. She then turns dominant and starts talking dirty to him. She alternates between giving him a blowjob and playing with the molding of "his son." Eventually, she gets him to fuck the replica's asshole while she sucks on the latex dick. After this pseudo-bisexual experience, the father and the teacher have vaginal and anal sex. After he climaxes, the fantasy ends with her telling him that his son will be coming over in 15 minutes and with him freaking out.

Next, Blondie Anderson is an erotic photographer and Jon Dough is a husband who's taking naughty pictures for his wife in "Every Picture Tells a Story." The scene starts out as a tame photo shoot, but then naturally turns into seduction, as Blondie begins to masturbate and directs Jon to do the same. After some extended oral sex and teasing, he ends up climaxing, but the scene continues to round two. After the second pop, the scene ends with Blondie realizing that they forgot about the pictures and that Jon will have to come over another time to finish them.

"Watch Me Cum & Fuck Me Some" is the oh-so-elegant title to a plotless scene with Suzy Q. (a cute Hungarian brunette) and John Walton. It begins with Suzy masturbating with a water nozzle on the edge of a tub. She then lathers up with a bar of soap and then shaves herself bare (evidently they couldn't afford shaving cream). The scene jumps to the bedroom, where she plays for a little bit with a Pocket Rocket before the abrupt shift to sex with John. The zero-dialogue scene finishes with a blowjob, followed by some condomless one-position fucking, and ends with a facial. The Hungarian theme continues with a really short throwaway scene that has no hardcore sex in it. Entitled, "Bad Girls, Hard Time," it features three random girls from Budapest in a B-movie quality prison scene, complete with the dominant male prison guard, ridiculous costumes, and nudity.

Patrick Collins returns to the traditional SodoMania look & feel with the final two scenes. In the first, Phyllisha Anne pretends to be a young neighbor of Mark Davis in "Neighborly Advances." Mark tries to resist, but his resolve quickly fades. Then it goes into Elegant Angel gonzo mode with hard sex, dirty talk, anal (including ass-to-mouth), and a facial popshot. The video ends with a scene called "Just Shoot Me" with gonzo prince Alex Sanders and his ever-present Hummer SUV. In this segment, the Hummer belongs to Phaedra Alexis and Alex is fixing the brakes. After he's done, he demands $100 for his services, which Phaedra refuses to pay. After calling her a lot of colorful things, the tables are turned when she turns a gun on him. Alex changes his tune and says he doesn't want the money, but Phaedra won't let him leave until she gets what she wants, which is a good in and out.

Notable Performances: Well, even though I don't like Blondie Anderson (especially in the role she plays in this gonzo) and even though I thought Jon Dough looked bored out of his mind, there was one aspect of the scene that was really great. As Blondie climbs up onto Jon's lap, it looks like it going to turn into a standard cowgirl-position fuck. But instead of impaling herself on Jon's cock, she uses it to rub her clit. She spends a minute or two teasing him like that--it's something you don't see much of in porn anymore. And it seems to do the trick: when the actually start to fuck, he doesn't last very long. After he does shoot, they continue to screw until he comes a second time. Again, that's something you don't see very often.

I liked the scene with Suzy Q...she's definitely the best looking girl in the whole video, and her scene reminds me a lot of a pro-am gonzo with her as the young, innocent girl having sex on camera for the first time. Unfortunately, I hate it that most of the Eastern European girls that appear in adult films look like they're not enjoying themselves. I just hate it when they have practically no expressions during sex and it looks robotic. But as this scene and the softcore scene that follows it, the girls are absolutely gorgeous--I just wish that they showed a little enthusiasm too.

Dislikes: Well, I don't like Blondie Anderson or Phaedra Alexis--their looks or their performances. From a creative standpoint, I hate the lame, paper-thin gonzo plots, especially when the acting is terrible. That pretty much describes this entire feature. Another thing I didn't like was the ass-to-mouth action between Mark Davis and Phyllisha Anne. Although the bacteria transferring instrument in this one is a couple of fingers instead of a dick, it just seems so gross. Yes, I know the girls use an enema beforehand, but what could possibly be there for the girl to lick off? Finally, although the sort of bisexual scene with the latex molding is different, if you're not completely comfortable with your sexuality, you'll probably have a hard time dealing with the first scene, especially if you consider DPs or anals to be latent homosexual acts. I personally didn't have that much of a problem with it, but I'm warning you in case you do.

DVD Notes: Well, the A/V quality on this DVD ranges from very good to so-so. The video quality is acceptable; not as crystal clear as other shot-on-video features I've seen, but not distracting either. About the only noticeable problem is some graininess and pixelation in the lower light scenes. There are almost no problems with scenes shot in bright light. The stereo soundtrack is recorded at too low of a level for my liking--I had to really turn up my receiver to understand what little dialogue there is. At higher volumes, the voices of the actors begin to distort a bit.

But the DVD is balanced out by some great extras on the flip side of the DVD. In addition to some trailers for classic Elegant Angel releases, there's a video Q&A interview with Elegant Angel owner, Patrick Collins. It's nothing earth-shattering, but it's interesting material. And, if you've never seen Patrick Collins before, you'll know what he looks like after you watch the interview. :) Also, the three profiles of Elegant Angel contract girls are nicely done. It's kind of cool that they included video clips of full-length scenes of each of the girls.

The Last Word: If you're a big SodoMania fan, you'll probably dig it. I think there are better volumes of the series than this one, and I didn't care for the girls for the most part. Even though the extras are nice, I think that this title will make it quickly to my "For Trade" list.
