Review:
When aspiring thespians, Melissa Stratton and her boyfriend, Robby Apples, use Stratton's hard-earned Soup Saloon money to move to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams, they quickly find themselves sucked into an exaggerated, topsy-turvy version of the porn life. How they'll handle the strain that this ultimately imposes upon themselves and their relationship remains to be seen. So goes So Extra!, an exceptional, 2024 comedy from director Mike Quasar and Wicked Pictures. Poking fun at a variety of contemporary porn tropes, as well as the reality of L.A. life (vs. the glitz and glam portrayed by Hollywood), this raunchy release likely hits closer to home than many would like to admit or care to recognize. Of course, throughout, Quasar delivers his cynical, underlying message wrapped up in chuckle-worthy hilarity and tops it off with a quartet of ball-draining sex scenes. The upshot? A flick that's deeper than it initially may seem but that's still a fun and filthy good time. Quasar has outdone himself with this one.

In terms of the sex, the highlights include the opening sequence involving industry legend, Seth Gamble, and the reigning Best New Starlet, Chanel Camryn, on a porn set in which the crackpot Gamble has both tossed out the lead actor and nonchalantly re-written his own script...pretty much for shits and giggles. Taking place in a bedroom, the scene between this onscreen step-daughter/-father pair is fire, with the lithe and enthusiastic Camryn choking down cock and impaling herself on dick with abandon (facial). Also killing it is the carnal coupling of Melissa Stratton and Robby Apples. Taking place in their own bedroom, they've opted to strike it out on their own and produce a video that tells their tale, and it's as sensual as it is erotic. Of course, the cucked-out fuck-out between Ryan Keely and Isiah Maxwell (with Shawn Alff in the cuck-seat offering up the standard-fare utterances) and the pairing of quirky manager/producer, Tommy Pistol, and his starlet/cheerleader girlfriend, Kay Lovely, are strong sequences in their own rights, as well. Hot stuff all around! Check it out!
