The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are great, especially for a as old as this feature is. The audio is clear and well balanced, without any background noises. The video is extremely clear, and looks as good or better as most movies currently released. It has a few shadows, but that’s about the only problem there is with the video.

Music: The music is fairly typical porno music, but is nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The menus are pretty good. They nicely blend a bit of the feature with the cover. The chapter menu is pretty standard and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

Jill’s had a full service limousine business going for a while. Her girls would drive the customers where they wanted to go, as well as give them any servicing they needed. She’s hit a rough spot, and now Tony Tedeschi, who’s wanted to buy her business for quite a while, is trying to force her to pay him a large amount of money or he’ll take her over. It’s not something Jill takes lightly, but luckily she has some loyal girls working for her as well as a few friends who are willing to help.

Scene 1 - Jill Kelly and Kylie Ireland

Jill starts things out seeing if Kylie has what it takes to work for her in the back of a limo while Christi drives them around. After a quick drink, the girls kiss passionately and Jill lets Kylie suckle her nipples while she grabs her ass. Jill returns the favor by working on Kylie’s undercarriage with her tongue and fingers before Kylie works her up to four fingers. The toys come out next, with Kylie giving Jill a dildo for her twat before climbing on Jill’s strap-on for a little anal cowgirl. Finally the girls finish things up with a little kissing.

This is a great scene! Jill and Kylie have great chemistry, and Kylie being on the receiving end for most of the scene works great for the idea behind the scene. The scene also moves along very nicely, and the toys feel more like part of a natural progression than a crutch to hold up the scene. This is a great way to start out the feature.

Scene 2 - Christi Lake and Peter North

After giving Peter a ride in the limo, Christi comes around back to give him a better ride. She starts to strip out of her suit while giving Peter a little oral attention, and then lets him return the favor on her great tits. Christi moves up to ride Peter’s peter reverse cowgirl style and to let him spoon her before finishing things up with a classic Peter North pop across her face.

This is another very nicely done scene. Christi and Peter have nice chemistry, and the camera work does a great job of capturing the cramped space in the limo. It moves along at a nice pace, and although it isn’t anything overly special, it is a good, solid scene.

Scene 3 - Jill Kelly, Tracey Love, and Woody Long

Jill and Tracey decide to show Woody a little appreciation for the great service he’s given them working on their cars. Jill starts out working on Woody’s woody before moving back to work on Tracey while she sucks him. They keep the oral love flowing, with Tracey getting a little oral double teaming before Woody works his way around to work on Jill from behind. Woody moves back to focus on Tracey, fucking her in a couple positions while watching Jill diddle herself, before fucking Jill while she eats Tracey. He moves on to give Jill her first onscreen anal while Tracy watches, and then decorates her great ass.

This was a good scene, but far from great. Jill takes the anal very well, but the scene feels a bit convoluted. The camera is all over the place, but focuses on the close-ups much more than I like. You rarely get to see Jill’s reaction to the anal at the same time as the penetration, and when you do it’s from underneath, a shot I don’t particularly care for. This is a decent scene, but nothing too special, and easily the worst scene in the feature.

Scene 4 - Kylie Ireland and Tony Tedeschi

Kylie takes Tony for a test drive after he tries hiring her away from Jill. She kisses Tony on the lips before putting her great oral skills to work on him. Tony returns Kylie’s oral favors with a bit of interest before sliding on a little protection and boning her missionary style. They move to doggie where Kylie plays with herself to get to one more orgasm before Tony jerks off onto her great tits.

This scene reminds me why Kylie grabbed my attention one of the first times I saw her perform. She puts some great enthusiasm into the entire scene, and puts some great vocals with them. This is a ball drainer of a scene, and one that had a smile on my face just from the enjoyable nature of the scene.

Scene 5 - Jill Kelly, Peter North, and Alex Sanders

Finally, Jill celebrates with Peter and Alex after they come up with a solution for her problems. Jill gets between the guys both ways for some oral loving before letting Alex nail her from behind missionary style. She keeps things going missionary style with Peter while sucking Alex’ cock before letting Alex fuck her ass from behind. Peter joins in to give Jill her first on-screen double penetration before they finish things up giving Jill a nice double dose of dick droppings on her nicely natural tits.

This is a very nice scene to end the feature with. It moves along very nicely and Jill looks fantastic here. She takes the double penetration with the same ease as she did the anal and vaginal, and makes her first DP nicely memorable.

Smooth Ride is a really nice adult movie. No, it’s not anything overly ambitious, but it takes a decent porno plot and does it justice. The plot is pretty average for porn, but the cast works together to make it work as well as one could hope. They put the same effort into the sex, led by Jill Kelly and her first onscreen anal and double penetration performances. I know that ‘couples features’ are supposed to be slow and boring sex according to some unwritten rule that way too many people are following, but that’s not the case here. The anal and DP feel nicely natural for the movie, and I think are done well enough that plenty of couples will be able to enjoy them. There’s so much here that just seems average that a part of me really wants to rate this movie lower, but I enjoyed it enough that another part of me wants to rate it higher than what I did. I really can’t tell you why I enjoyed this movie as much as I did. I guess Smooth Ride just gave me a smooth and enjoyable enough trip that I sat back and really enjoyed the ride.

Trailers are included for XXX Training, Heat, Hercules, Falling From Grace, and Bordello Blues. There’s also promotional materials, DVD-ROM stuff, and a commercial for the Free Speech Coalition.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Wicked’s DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $30 with many stores offering them for around $21. I’d pay the low end for this one. The movie isn’t anything overly special, but had a really nice feeling about it and good enough sex that I can see watching this one a few times. The extras are pretty standard for Wicked’s discs, but the technical aspects are excellent!

Note to Wicked Pictures: It’s great to see you put as much effort into the technical aspects as you did here! I hope to see many of your other older movies looking as good as this in the future!
