Initial Expectations: Kick Ass has put out some very nice movies. I’m looking forward to this one.

Initial Reaction: It’s okay, but a different format would have greatly improved it.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced during the masturbation sequences, and I don’t think I heard a single background noise. During the tease portion, however, the music is the only audio. The video is also nicely done. It’s well lit and barely has even a hint of grain, but it’s not unusual to have the set surroundings or crew edge into the scene.

Music: The tease section of the scene only has music for the audio. It keeps a sexy, and yes, smoky feel to it that works well. The masturbation sequence doesn’t have any music.

Disc Complaints: There’s two minutes of annoying commercials at the start of the movie that you can’t skip. This always annoys the piss out of me, and since this is an older release I’m going to hope that Kick Ass has abandoned this horrible practice.

Menus: The menus are nicely done. The main menu has a little animation and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on the name of the girl and a photo, and even lets you choose between the tease and the solo sex with a few clips.

The Feature

Smokin’ 6 goes with a simple formula. You start with a completely black set and then put a girl on it. You have her smoke, tease the camera, and diddle herself, then you edit it all together into a tease / smoking segment and a masturbation / smoking segment.

Scene 1 - Zora Banks

Bottle blonde Zora starts things out lighting up a cigarette before softly playing with her breasts and nipples. She shows off the rest of her body and makes her titties jiggle between smoking segments. After she makes her way through her cigarette she lights up a cigarillo and smokes it in a segment that’s cut together with her talking to “you” and diddling herself. She breaks out a red vibe to help herself, and even slides a finger in her ass as she plays. Finally she waves goodbye after having an “orgasm”.

This is an okay scene. Zora looks very good and does a very good job in both the smoking sequences and the masturbation. Unfortunately, the two don’t merge that well. The sequence also suffered a bit because you could see somebody in white creeping into the edge with the black background. Zora does a nice job, but the scene’s format never lets the scene get as far as Zora could take it.

Scene 2 - Felix Vicious

Felix, a nice looking brunette with more piercings than almost any ten other people combined, starts out her scene showing off while also enjoying a cigarette and blowing some smoke rings. She appears to light up a Swisher as she starts the masturbation part of the scene while fucking herself with a purple vibe in the other segment of the scene. She talks about a lesbian fantasy as well as what she likes sexually as she works herself over, and finally has a nice little “orgasm” before the scene fades out.

This scene has the same poor format, but Felix makes it work much better. The main difference here is Felix’s storytelling ability. Her sex talk really worked for me, and she did a nice job mixing a little of the smoking with her play. This is a hot little scene.

Scene 3 - Honney Bunny

Honney, a cute girl with some definite ethnicity, starts out her smoking / tease segments lighting up a cigarette. After snuffing her fag she lights up a cigar and talks about how she masturbates and what she’d do to “you” if you were there while playing with a red vibe. Finally she waves goodbye without even looking like she cums.

This is a slightly below average scene. Honney starts things out good, but the scene never picks up much energy. The ending also hurts the scene, and feels like Honney ended it when she realized that she had to go out and feed the parking meter.

Scene 4 - Juliana Kincaid

Cute dirty blonde Juliana shows herself off and enjoys a cigarette to start things out. When it comes time for the masturbation, she works her pussy over with a blue vibe while enjoying another cigarette. She talks about fantasizing about dirty old men while fucking herself. This is another nicely done scene. As usual I don’t care for the format, but Juliana makes the scene work with her charismatic storytelling and little smiles. A decent orgasm at the end would have really helped this one out, but Juliana’s charm makes it work better than many others in the movie.

Scene 5 - Rhiannon Bray

Rhiannon, a good looking brunette, enjoys a cigarette and shows off to start out her scene. She blows a few bubbles while laughing, and after snuffing her cig tries a hookah (supplying her own tobacco). This is another very nice scene. Rhiannon has a very natural love of her play that immediately drew me in. She isn’t afraid to giggle or smile, and her natural looking brunette hair looks so much better on her than her current dark dye. This is a winner of a scene despite the poor format.

Scene 6 - Victoria Butts

Victoria, who has both a dark complexion and dark her, enjoys a cigarette to start things out. She moves over to a cigar as she talks about where she’s from and what she’d love you to do to her. She works her shaven pussy over with a blue vibe a bit while talking dirty in Russian. Finally she snuffs her cigar while talking about how bad it was that you weren’t there to join in with her.

This is a slightly above average scene. Victoria is cute and has a nice natural body. The main thing that helps it over the average mark is her trash talking in Russian, which really helps it to stand apart from the competition. Other than that, it’s a pretty typical scene.

Scene 7 - Athena

Athena, a young looking girl who looks to have some Latino in her starts her scene out showing off and enjoying a cigarette before snuffing it out. She introduces herself and switches over to a cigar while talking about how it’s her first video. She uses a red vibe to play with her pussy while talking about what she likes sexually before killing what’s left of her cigar.

This is another slightly above average scene. Athena looks a bit lost at times, but she looks like she’s still having fun and a bit in awe rather than just being confused. She plays to the camera a bit, but it works fairly well. This is an okay scene.

Scene 8 - Lena Ramon

Lena, a brunette who’s one of my personal favorites, starts things out with a cigarette and a bit of play. When she moves on with the masturbation she takes control, talking down to “you” and having “you” eat her ass. She lights up a cigarette while commanding “you” to eat her pussy and showing it off a little before fingering her ass. Lena works herself to an “orgasm” and then gives “you” a few commands as she snuffs out her cigarette.

Although I can see the attitude of this scene turning some people off, I think it helped this scene rise to be one of the best in the movie. I love how it made the scene unique by changing the feel, and think Lena did a great job with her domination while looking very nice. This is a nicely done scene that stands apart from the rest of the movie quite well.

Scene 9 - Misty Mendez

Misty, a nice looking big tittied Latino, enjoys a cigarette with her opening tease. She switches to what looks like a Swisher as she plays with a blue vibe. She moves around as she fucks herself, and finally waves goodbye without it looking like she came.

This is a slightly above average scene. Misty does a good job with her play, and keeps a happy and lustful feel through most of it. There’s nothing that really holds the scene back (other than the obvious format), but there’s nothing that really helps it to get ahead either.

Scene 10 - Claire

Claire, a very young looking brunette, starts out the final scene with a cigarette and a tease. She moves on to a cigar when she gets a pink wand vibe for her masturbation and talks about liking to suck dick while playing with herself. She moves on to talk about how “you’d” fuck her and what she’d do to “you” if “you” were there before holding the toy on her pussy a little. Finally she looks like she might have a little orgasm and puts out her cigarette.

This is a dud of a scene. Claire comes off as a bit of an airhead who puts less emotion into talking about how she’d want to be fucked than I’ve heard people talk about donuts over a few cups of coffee. She barely masturbates in the scene, and I was bored through most of it. I know Claire had a pretty good following, but this scene might make you wonder why.

Smokin’ 6 is an okay porno. It definitely brings smoking to the forefront of the movie, and mixes it with masturbation in a different way. Both the smoking segments and the masturbation segments are normally nicely done, but then they’re cut together with the masturbation audio taking charge even when the smoking video is cut in. This just didn’t work for me. Caddyshack and Rushmore might both be great Bill Murray movies, but that doesn’t mean that I want somebody to edit them together into one movie. If the smoking were worked into the scenes better rather than going with the Hibachi method used here, Smokin’ 6 might have been a much better movie. A little more attention to where the camera is so that one doesn’t see the cast and the set surroundings poking in on the edges would also help things out. As is, Smokin’ 6 has a bit of a schizophrenic feel to it that just didn’t do a lot for me.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for Grrl Power! 12, Chica Boom 14, Sepcs Appeal 7, Kung Fu Girls 4, Sweatin’ It 2, and Barefoot Confidential 19. The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with roughly six seconds per very good looking snapshot. There’s also bloopers and commercials.

The blooper reel lasts about four and a half minutes. Claire starts things out going to war with the child-proof mechanism on her lighter before a few of the girls crack up. There’s a little screwing around with Lena Ramon, Rhiannon Bray, and Juliana Kincaid before a little extra smoking footage. Finally, Juliana wears out her vibrator and Felix Vicious gives a little foot tease. It’s a nice little collection of footage, and does a good job of working most of the cast into it. This is a very nice extra.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Kick Ass’s DVDs can be found online for between about $19 and $25 with stores offering them everywhere in between. Rent this one first. Although I’m sure some smoking fans will like it, I can see the format of the movie putting off a lot more people. The technical aspects are pretty good and there’s some decent effort put into the extras. This is an okay movie on a DVD that shows some care.

Note to Kick Ass Productions: You have a nice idea here, but it just didn’t work out. A little more creativity would be a nice addition here.
