The Short Story

Initial Expectations: I’ve heard a lot of good things about Devinn, I really enjoyed Jim Enright’s Jennifer ATE, and Wicked normally makes a great DVD, so I have pretty high expectations.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Wicked features, both the audio and video quality are top notch. The audio is very clear and well balanced. The video is very clear and the lighting appears very natural. This isn’t all good, since one scene is in a bedroom and gets a little dark a couple times.

Music: The music is slightly spooky and floats nicely in the background. There are times when you can barely hear it, which is very nice.

Menus: The menus aren’t as complicated as some of Wicked’s other menus, but fit the feature very well. There’s a nice bit of animation that add a little to the DVD.

The Feature

When Tony Tedeschi and Sydnee Steele buy a house after some tragic circumstances, the talk turns to the supernatural. Devinn Lane doesn’t buy much of it while her sister, Shanna McCullough, is very involved with it. After a little discussion, Devinn reluctantly agrees to let her sister hypnotize her. Devinn goes into a deep sleep, but doesn’t remember anything and wakes quite shaken. All she remembers is Kyle Stone fucking Chloe hard. She continues to see Kyle and Chloe, and ends up witnessing Chloe’s death. Afterwards she’s determined to find out what really happened and why she’s having these visions.

Devinn Lane opens things up with Chandler. Devinn starts out working on Chandler’s tits, and gets them to pop out as far as Ed Power’s dick before going to work on her down below. Devinn gets her turn next as Chandler eats her out and then fucks her from behind with a toy. Chandler gets a little toy time as well and really screams her head off. It’s a really hot scene and both girls seem to be really into each other. It’s a nicely different scene as both women are all natural. The only unnatural thing between them is the toys. Chandler, although her form is natural, has several tattoos. Devinn has a fantastic body with owl titties that isn’t tattooed but has a nice clit and tongue piercing. The combination of Devinn’s natural body, beautiful face, and appetite for sex shows just why Wicked chose Devinn to be a contract girl.

Devinn watches Chloe and Kyle Stone fuck almost immediately after finishing with Chandler. There’s no foreplay to the scene, which starts with Chloe riding Kyle reverse cowgirl and then moves on to a little doggie. There’s some great interaction between Kyle and Chloe, with both of them talking dirty back and forth. To finish things off, Chloe takes Kyle’s pop in her mouth. It’s a hot scene and just what you expect from Chloe. I’m amazed at how well Kyle kept up with her.

Dillion Day and Shanna McCullough, showing an almost perfect set of tan lines, get their groove on on a corner couch. Dillion immediately drops down to eat both her pussy and ass and comes up to give Shanna’s tits a little attention just before she goes down on him. Of course, Shanna gives some great head and works it nicely with her hand as well as mouth. She’s been around enough to know to look up also, which always helps. Dillion pounds away on Shanna’s pussy with great style and continues as he works on her ass. Shanna takes it all wonderfully and moans and really gets into it. Dillion finally blows his load across Shanna’s stomach to end this hot scene.

Sydnee Steele gets a taste of Devinn Lane in the next scene as Devinn switches bodies with Chloe. Sydnee dives right in with both her face and fingers, and then turns around so Devinn can get a taste at the same time. Unlike her scene with Chandler, this time it’s an all natural scene without toys. Although I prefer all girl scenes with toys, it’s still a very hot scene, which it should be with these lovely ladies.

Sydnee Steele gets a taste of her own medicine in the next scene as Tony Tedeschi gives her a little tongue action. As Tony eats her, Sydnee watches it all in the mirror. It’s a nice little change, since normally mirror scenes don’t have the performers watching themselves in it. Sydnee works over Tony’s cock with both her mouth and hand next. She doesn’t give a lot of eye contact, but she works it over with such lust that you can’t not like it. She’s very vocal as Tony fucks her and he even makes her toes curl and legs shake. It’s the kind of stuff that you don’t normally see in adult films, and it’s nice to see the people really enjoying their work. Tony finishes it off by jerking himself off onto her stomach. It’s a hot scene and there’s some great chemistry in it.

Silent Echoes does a great job of showing Devinn Lane’s acting and sexual abilities. The story is well done and doesn’t have many holes in it, unlike most adult films. The sex also fits in nicely to round out the package. Devinn leads the cast through it all very well and keeps her character normal enough that she seems realistic also. It’s an all around nicely done adult film with a great cast.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about two and three quarter minutes with five seconds per snapshot. It’s a nice looking photo gallery that captures a lot of the movie. Audio bios are included for Devinn Lane, Sydnee Steele, Chloe, Chandler, Tony Tedeschi, and Jim Enright. Once again, Wicked tailored the bio screens to the actual movie, which is a very nice touch. Trailers are included for Working Girl, The Kissing Game, Knockout, and Vengeance. The standard free speech coalition commercial is included along with a list of AVN and Wicked DVD award winners and nominations, the Wicked Web, Casino, and company profile. The new standard extra of Wicked Promotional Materials is also included. Although I hate seeing standard extras, this one is kind of a nice touch and adds a little more to the trailers on the DVD since it gives you glimpses of many other Wicked titles.

Devinn Lane talks about her toy line in an interview that lasts almost eleven and a half minutes. It’s a fun interview and Devinn doesn’t take herself too seriously as she shows off her toys. She shows off some of ventriloquist skills as well to make some of them talk. There’s also a seven minute featurette on shooting Devinn’s box covers for her toy line. There’s a few short interviews including Devinn giving a couple demonstrations, but most of it is kind of like a photo gallery. Devinn is shown in many of her poses as her picture’s taken as well as getting a little pussy, a kitten to be exact.

All Access: The Making of Silent Echoes lasts about twenty two minutes. As usual, Red Ezra catches a lot of behind the scenes action and gets quite a few interviews with the girls as well. As a really nice touch, each star is identified when they first appear on the screen. Each sex scene is included as well as a few of the fast forward fodder scenes. There are a few sequences with what happens behind the scenes, but not a lot. It’s a nicely done behind the scenes that gives a nice taste of what a lot of the cast is like as well as director Jim Enright.

The commentary pairs Devinn Lane with director Jim Enright. It’s a nice balance of behind the scenes and personal information. Devinn does a good job of teasing Jim at times, and does a nice job of bringing her personal life into the commentary. They talk about many of the normal things, such as the shoot and the cast as well as what they like in their personal sex life. It’s a nice commentary and there isn’t a lot of dead air.

The Bottom Line:

Like almost all of Wicked’s other top of the line DVDs, Silent Echoes can be found online for between $25 and $30. It’s a great movie that’s well acted and well fucked. To make things even better, the transfer and extras are both very good.

Note to Wicked: Nice overall job on this DVD. Although I wish your DVDs weren’t priced at the top, you definitely give the consumer their money’s worth.
