Director: William Hunter Cast: Duncan Starr, Phil Bradeley, Michael Brawn, Sean Davis, Darryl Brock, Shawn Justin, Wolfe, Mike Lamas, Ethan Michael Ayers, Tanner Reeves, Kyle Hunter Story: I’ll be honest, I don’t really know what’s going on here. Something about Duncan Starr driving through the desert, and somehow he keeps running into people having sex (or telling stories about sex). It’s all very loosely tied together. What I Liked: First off, I’m completely and madly in love with Phil Bradley. How can you look at that picture of him on the cover, and not want to have his children? His threeway with Tanner Reeves and Shawn Justin is incredibly hot, which is a miracle, since in most videos, I truly despise Tanner Reeves. Somehow Phil’s presence makes Tanner more palatable. Darryl Brock’s impaling of Wolfe is another awesome sight. There’s a little bit of oral at the beginning, but the majority of this scene is balls to the walls ass-pounding. Darryl is a true master of his art as well. Such a big dick slamming so deep into such a tight little hole! Sam Crockett is another one those guys I love to watch fuck on film. This must have been one of his early flicks, since he seems a little skinnier than I remember. He’s still pretty toned, though, and looks great. He and Mike Lamas double team Ethan Michael Ayers in a very nice mechanic-themed scene. The opening scene with Sean Davis and Michael Brawn is another keeper. I’d never seen Michael before, and wasn’t really expecting him to bottom. But bottom he does, taking every inch of Sean’s big dick up his ass. What I didn’t Like: My only real gripe with Shiftin Gears is the star, Duncan. I personally didn’t find his whole “Californian Surfer Dude” look very appealing. You mileage may vary, of course. His solo was rather “eh”. The final scene with him and Kyle Hunter didn’t really excite me, either. Audio/Visual Quality The video looks pretty good for the most part, though there are a few iffy parts here and there. Extras Besides the requisite slideshow, there’s not much beyond some previews for Barnstorm, ThunderBalls, The Olympians, The Unlawful, and Jock-A-Holics. Final Word I bought this purely based on the adorable picture of Phil Bradley on the cover, and I wasn’t disappointed in the least. I ended up really enjoying 4 out of the 6 scenes, which is a pretty darn good ratio, I think. As far as I know, this is the only video that has Phil with a beard, so if that picture gets your motor running at all, don’t hesitate to pick this one up.
