I should have been prepared when the credits said "Casting by Freaks "R" Us

Almost all porn lives and dies on the physical attractiveness of the performers. With she-males you often cut some slack because the beauties are fewer and farther between, but there's still a standard that needs to be met. Most compilations have several she-males, and if one doesn't do it, hopefully the next one will.

Not here.

She-Males usually fall into one of three types: the really good ones who look like women with cocks, those who don't fall into either gender and just look weird, and drag queens. Then there's She-Male Mandingo, who looks like a drag queen after a boob job. Seriously--Mandingo resembles Troy Polamanu with tits, and it ain't pretty. The box art calls "her" the biggest dick tranny in the world and I'll buy that: "she" is hung like a mule. But that doesn't cut it here.

In fairness, Mandingo's boob job is as good or better than his co-stars', but the lack of a figure, and that wig, and in general the whole look, just does't work.

The female costars are quite pretty, in a fake-tits, tatted and shaved sort of way.

All (well, much) might be forgiven if the sex were good, but for the most part it's crappy. Great porn usually looks like the performers are doing what they'd be doing without the camera running; this looks like that group of sullen teens working at the drug store on a Saturday night; they're there only because there's a paycheck involved and nothing else. The performers look like they're reacting to off-camera direction, looking and playing to the camera, and generally just going through the motions so they can buy dinner afterward. The level of heat this thing generates wouldn't curdle milk.

There are five scenes in the feature, and they're all checklist porn: a stylized "dance," then "head," "anal" and "cumshot." The only real difference is the girl in each.

Special Features: There are three bonus scenes, all straight MF (no she-males). The first has Mandingo again, this time without the boobs and wig, but with the massive cock. It should tell you something that this is a far better scene than any of the features. The other two feature other MF performers who aren't anywhere else in the movie. Usually when these occur, they're credited to another DVD you can buy, but these aren't. So if you like a scene, you'll have to do your own sleuthing to find it.

Also included are trailers for other titles, a decent photo gallery, a reprise of the cum-shots from the feature, and a trailer for this title which runs on an endless loop--which I suppose is for porn stores to run on their own TVs.

Production values: As lackluster as the content is, this DVD is pretty nicely put together. The video quality is bright, sharp and clean (nonwithstanding the bad image capture here), the audio is clear and there's no bad music soundtrack except during the "dance" routines.

Better--the menus are clear and well thought out, there are chapters (intro, head, anal and cumshot) for each scene, plus a number of other subchapters so you can bounce back and forth easily to what you want to see. The bonuses, as I mentioned above, are arguably better than the feature. All in all, I think they made a quality product, made by people who care about what they're doing. If only the content were better.

Final: You'll like this if you like your trannies hung like a horse and you don't care at all about the "she" part of "she-male." But if you like your she-males to look more like women with cocks, or if you like the sex to look more realistic and a lot less by-the-numbers, look elsewhere.
