The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Celeste's movies can be very hit or miss for me, but they've been working better for me recently. Throw in Shay Jordan being featured and I can't help but have high expectations for this one.

Initial Reaction: It's a pretty good release, but nowhere close to what I hoped for.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: Shay All American Girl goes with the traditional Celeste style, which means there's no audio other than music. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen, and looks pretty good. It's well lit, but often has a slightly washed look that was a little hit or miss for me from scene to scene. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it left me a little annoyed because I wanted to see more detail.

Music: With no other audio, the music because extremely important here. It normally fits the scenes very well, and varies in style quite a bit throughout the movie. There's some well chosen music here.

Menus: The main menu nicely works together stills with a little animation for a cool first impression. The chapter menu is a bit generic giving you a clip of each scene and a chapter number, but helps itself out by also giving the name of each girl for the first chapter of her scene.

The Feature

Ever since she signed with Digital Playground, the gorgeous Shay Jordan has been turning heads. Many critics have sung her praises, and she's always shown good reason for them to. Here she goes behind a Celeste Capture to show she's an All American Girl.

Scene 1 – Shay Jordan and Scott Nails

Shay starts out in a multicolored striped sleeveless top with purple lacy shoes covering her eyes as Scott brings her a birthday cake filled with candles. He feeds her some of the frosting from his finger before she puts a little on her tits for him and then starts sucking his cock. This is a decent opening scene.

Scene 2 – Addison Rose

Addison, a cute dishwater blonde, starts her scene out in a little yellow dress with a handful of suckers that she licks at while pulling up her skirt and pulling down her panties to show off. This is an okay scene. Addison provides some nice eye candy and looks to put out some very nice vocals. The scene is fairly short, and with the editing style it seemed to move ahead in leaps and bounds rather than progressing at a normal rate. There's some nice eye candy here, but the substance seems to lack a bit.

Scene 3 – Karlie Montana and Shay Jordan

Shay sits back and enjoys some footlong hotdogs with smoking hot auburn haired Karlie. I love how there's plenty of back and forth action between them rather than just each girl getting her turn and being done, and the sixty-nine in the middle is also a nice change from the typical lesbian scene. This is a nicely done scene.

Scene 4 – Samantha South and Ben English

Brunette Samantha rides a rocking horse in a little black lingerie and pink shoes as Ben watches from his leather chair. There's nice chemistry between them and they both look to be well into the action. This is a hot scene that could have lasted a little longer.

Scene 5 – Neveah and Shay Jordan

This is a hot and fun scene. Both girls look great, and although this is a back and forth and done scene, it works a little better here due to the contrast between it and Shay's earlier scene with Karlie. This scene worked well for me.

Scene 6 – Angeline Marie and Scott Nails

Smoking hot blonde Angeline starts her scene in a black bra, panties, and stockings with a black candy necklace that she shares with Scott. He ties her to the bed with them before moving down to strip off her panties and eat her pussy along with a bit of finger play as she writhes around on the bed. Scene 7 – Shay Jordan

Shay starts out the next scene in a legless white bodysuit with yellow and pink fishnets playing around with a clear glass dildo. She gets into a bathtub filled with rubber duckies and runs them around her body before pulling up her bodysuit to get her tits better as well as letting her at her pussy. This is an okay scene. As usual Shay looks great, and the rubber duckies adds a twisted little slant to the scene. There's some nice eye candy to the scene, but it feels drawn out a bit too long and my eyes started to glaze over a bit by the time it was done. I wanted to like this one, but it was just too drawn out for me.

Scene 8 – Shay Jordan and Marco Banderas

Shay starts out in a few different outfits around a smoking hot ride that changes colors just as much with Marco flashing in and out as the footage flashes between colors and outfits. This is a cool scene that looks like it was a royal bitch to shoot. I don't know how many color schemes Shay and the car went through throughout the scene, and although the car might have changed color by computer manipulation, I don't think Shay's outfits did. There's some decent heat and great visuals throughout the scene regardless of the outfit changes, and to be able to maintain that really impressed me. This is a very well done final scene.

Shay All American Girl is an above average release. There's some very nice creativity to the scenes and Celeste mixes it up very nicely between solo, boy – girl, and girl – girl action all with her usual care towards costumes and setups. There's plenty of fun in the setups, and the cast often looks to really be into the sex. Then comes the blessing and a curse. I'll readily admit to liking Celeste's style of going with music only audio without the performers, and have missed it in some of her most recent movies. I know there's a lot of people out there who disagree with me on that, but she's one of the few that's been able to pull off that style. It's always walking a bit of a razor's edge with that style, and here it didn't work for me as well. I'm not sure why it didn't work as well this time, but I think it might be some of the more washed look leaving me wanting a little more and pushing it just over the edge. Regardless, there's plenty of eye candy to Shay All American Girl, but I just couldn't get the depth I wanted to go with the candy and that held it back to being just an above average movie.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twelve and a half minutes and features Max Massimo on the camera. Neveah tries doing an interview without knowing anything before Angeline talks about not being a good actress and not being a size queen. Shay chats a little more before Karlie shares some of her thoughts and fun facts about herself. Addison also tries talking to the camera without too much success before a little extra eye candy. This is a pretty good behind the scenes featurette. You get some nice eye candy along with some nice personality and plenty of laughs.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. If you haven't seen some of Celeste's music only audio movies, rent this one first, as the style is not for everybody. Those who like the style will probably find a lot to like here even though this one didn't work as well for me as some of her other releases. There's some great eye candy in the movie and plenty of creativity. The technical aspects were above average, but sadly not up to Digital Playground's normal level. There is, however, a very nice behind the scenes featurette to help out the overall DVD. This is an okay movie on a pretty good DVD.

Note to Digital Playground: I know this one didn't work the best for me, but I hope you let Celeste release an occasional movie with this style again.
