Synopsis:
Amidst the backdrop of a party, various porn stars get busy with one another in this gonzo adult film.

Video/Audio:
Shane's World 23 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, which is the original aspect ratio for the film. For being a gonzo movie, filmed in the style that it is, the picture is surprisingly good. The video image is clean and only sports some slight pixilation. The color levels are true and flesh tones are accurate.

The available audio track is a 2.0 English Mono track, which is the original audio track for the film. Given the style and content of the film, this track is more than adequate for what is going on. Due to the filming style of the film, the audio levels vary depending how far someone was from the microphone. Dialog can be hard to hear sometimes, but it is far better than it could have been. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are six chapters available from the main menu for Shane's World 23. They are identified by a still picture and a name for the scene. There are ten chapters available within the film itself. Given the style of the film, the chapters break it up as well as can be done. There is a time code for the feature film, so time searching is available.

Special Features:
There are several extras available on the disc and although many of them don't really have much to do with the feature film, most of them are really fun to watch and keep the good-natured mood from the movie going. First up is Porn Stars at Home: Samantha Sterlying, which is a fun fluff piece that features Samantha cleaning, dusting, peeing, going through her vibrators, masturbating and showering. Following that is Tony Meets Anne Marie, another fluff piece featuring the nice looking Anne Marie being interviewed while slowly undressing which leads into a sex scene. Xtacee Live is a short piece on Xtacee which has a short interview and then features her masturbating. The photo gallery contains 34 photos that you flip through. There are cast biographies with a little info on the star and a Digital Sin filmography for Billy Glide, Blair Segal, Devin Wolf, Envy, Jeanie Rivers, Nacho Vidal, Naughtia Childs, Regan Star, Samantha Sterlying, Sophie Evans, Tony Ribas, Voodoo and Xtacee. There is a trailer on the disc for Shane's World: Slumber Party and an advert for Shane's World on the internet. The promised Lost Footage on the box was nowhere to be found on the disc.

Review:
Shane's World 23 is a lighthearted, fun and different gonzo film. There doesn't appear to be any scripted parts or dialog, but instead an unknown camera person (whose face is blurred in mirrors) follows around several porn stars at a party. The end result is an enjoyable film for all.

The sex scenes are well done with quite a bit of variety to them. The scenes take place in various locations around the house and along with standard places like in a bed some of the scenes take place in the hot tub and on the pool table. For those who are interested condoms are used in all the scenes. There is also a great scene involving an orally applied condom. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with titty fucking.

The entire film is shot from a one camera point of view. Often the camera will pan back and forth to get the action. There are slight cuts in the action where the camera person repositioned the shot. The end result is more of a personal experience, like the viewer is there.

The Money Shot:
Shane's World 23 is a different king of gonzo film than what is normally produced that should be enjoyed by viewers who like a fun porn movie. Viewers who require a plot, finely tuned sex scenes, a well-balanced audio track or formulaic sex scenes should probably skip this outing. If you are not sure about purchasing this film, you should definitely consider renting it.
