Each scene opens in a very odd way; dancers stripping in front of various screens. This might bring out the title, Shadow Dancers, but it isn't very erotic. Just really odd.
The first real sex scene is between Malitia and Sanders. That, of course, makes it disappointing, except that Malitia is passionate enough to make the scene almost enjoyable.
The next scene is sans Sanders, and that should make it automatically better, except that the young lady of the scene, Kary Evers, a gorgeous blonde, has no passion or chemestry with her partner. She never even fully strips (bizarre for a dancer/stripper film) and she shows no sign that she's enjoying herself, only grunting occasionally.
The same is true for the next scene, in which Mikki Taylor (who looks a lot like Nikki Tyler) is double teamed without any passion whatsoever. It's a very sterile scene that quickly bores any audience.
Doomy Moore is a sexy little brunette who busts onto the screen with a desire to please, yet her scene is also far too empty to be enjoyable.
At this point, continuing to watch is a challenge, and the sight of Sanders back on the screen makes the urge to hit EJECT even more real. However, the two blondes he plays with are rather attractive, and while I would have enjoyed the scene better if they played with each other some more, it is the movie's best scene, though that doesn't say much.
Shadow Dancers is a shadow of a great film; it's far closer to the trash heap than the award tables. Only those who actually like Mr. Sanders (which I guess must be some people if they keep letting him work) might enjoy this film. That certainly is not me.
