The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is very nicely balanced and has very few background noises to interfere with things. The video is also very nicely done and has very little grain. There’s a few places where the lighting seems a little inconsistent, but it’s not overly noticeable.

False Advertising: The cover states Over 2 hours of raw spontaneous, wet anal action!. I have two major problems with this statement. First, I’m not sure how this is physically possible when the movie only lasts an hour and forty two minutes. Second, there’s an awful lot of non-anal action in the movie, with some of the girls not even taking it in the ass. Due to this statement, I’m deducting a full point from the overall score.

Menus: The main menu nicely brings together a bit of the movie with a little animation in a pleasing way. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a title for the scene.

House of Ass is a very hot movie. There’s a fun feeling throughout the movie and plenty of chemistry in every one of the scenes. There’s also plenty of anal and some nice squirting. Unfortunately, it also seems fairly cookie cutter. I’ll admit that I really got into every one of the scenes, but when the three anal scenes start out with the girl in cowgirl, move to anal cowgirl, and then go to anal reverse cowgirl, I’ll admit that I was thrown slightly by it. I was also a little disappointed that the final scene and first scene felt so similar. Seymore normally has some nice and fun setups, but here it seems like he was coasting a bit. It still works, but it didn’t have quite the spark I normally expect from Seymore. House of Ass shows that you can still make a very hot fuck flick with limited positions and creativity.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with roughly six seconds per very nice framed photo. The behind the scenes featurette lasts fourteen minutes. Most of the footage is Seymore filming the action, but there’s a little fun around the set as well. You get Bubbles the dog on the set trying to get into Mari’s photo shoot as well as checking out some of the action. There’s even a bit of Seymore working with the cast and chatting between scenes. It’s an okay behind the scenes featurette, but nothing too special.

This is a very hot movie with nice attention to the technical aspects and some good attention towards the extras. Unfortunately, I can’t in good conscience tell somebody to run out and pick it up due to Seymore’s continual deceptive comments on his boxcovers.

Note to Seymore Butts: Somebody should really bitchslap you for your cover claims. Right now you’re one of the most visible people in the adult industry due to Family Business. I think that show goes a long way towards curbing some of the stereotypes of people in the adult industry, yet you’re deceptive as hell on your boxcovers which is probably going to bring those stereotypes back for many of the people who decide to check one of your movies out.
