Sexx The
Hard Way is Nacho Vidal's second line for Digital Sin/New Sensations,
typically offering more diverse, individual scenes than his signature
Killer Pussy line, sometimes inconsistent, sometimes offering a number
of those special moments that Nacho reaches at his best. However, there
appears to be some debate as to whether Sexx The Hard Way 9 is actually
a Nacho Vidal movie at all. He's credited as videographer, and the main
male star Juliano Ferraz has often worked with Nacho before, and indeed
Nacho appears with typical interjections from behind the camera, though
he doesn't perform himself. Conversely, two scenes in the middle of the
movie do seem to be out of a different mould. Maybe this is down to the
cast of Latina girls rather than the usual East Europeans, who knows?

Overall
It's hard to rate this movie as it is not really representative of what
has been an inconsistent series - I missed 8 but 6 and 7 certainly had
their moments and if you've followed Speelie's excellent and extensive
coverage of Nacho's output you'll be aware Nacho usually features European
talent - but generally my analysis would be that this is good, healthy
sexy fun that's been rather spoiled by editing into too short a time.
The first, second and last scenes definitely needed more time to develop
and feel like they've really been hacked down in editing. The middle two
appear out of step with the rest, not just due to the location, and are
basically generic porn that I would be surprised if Nacho put his name
to. Though I'll stand corrected…
I also wonder, as I mention, how much criticism can be aimed at Nacho
for the movies' flaws - Digital Sin and co have turned in a fairly tatty
package really, with that editing or authoring fault I mentioned, the
truncated running time and the male lead credited as "Lubaro Fernaz".
These small things threaten to add up to take the lustre off the energetic,
enjoyable performances of Lulu, Ellen and especially Chris, a memorable
performer who's well matched with the relentless Juliano, and who I'd
be happy to see again. I could definitely get into more of these girls
with the big sexy culos and the wriggly, jiggly way about them!
DVD Comments
The picture quality on the disc is variable - the hotel room scenes are
quite good but the outdoor stuff is really whacked by wild overexposure.
Source footage issues, perhaps, but I am not sure they're handled well
in the disc's production either, with a generally clear but quite weakly
coloured image. The sound is OK. There's a photo gallery and the flip
side is packed with a hefty selection of trailers for the Digital Sin
range - they've revamped their extras but I am sure this will get old,
fast, too, given the way they churn out new titles. One thing I really
hate about Digital Sin discs is that you can't skip by all the certificates
and logos etc - you can FFWD but I'd rather just be able to get straight
to the action, thank you very much!
