Initial Expectations: Celeste normally impresses me quite a bit with her movies, and I see no reason to expect that to change now.

Initial Reaction: This series has been a bit hit or miss for me, but this might be my favorite installment so far.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. It has an artistic style with a touch of grain, a few shadows, and a bit of a washed look, but it all appears to be completely intentional and works well to give the movie plenty of style.

Music: There's a little music here and there that rests quietly in the background. It's very nicely done and helps out the entire movie.

Menus: The main menu combines a few stills of Audrey with a little minor animation for a decent first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number that doesn't match up to the actual chapter numbers in the movie. It also lets you know who the girl is in her first chapter for each scene.

The Feature

The Sexual Freak series works as much with style as it does substance or the cover girl. This time the cover girl's Audrey Bitoni, which means you get to see her in multiple scenes, and the substance builds itself around women in control.

Scene 1 – Audrey Bitoni and Jean Val Jean

When Jean doesn't seem to notice secretary Audrey's giving him a little show, she dips her fingers in her pussy and then in the coffee he wants her to bring him. She lets him know that he can either fuck her or not as she strips down, but if he doesn't she'll claim that he sexually harassed her so he gets fired and deported. Scene 2 – Mindy Main and Scott Nails

The sex moves along at a good pace with some very nice use of lighting, and although the editing is a touch choppy it doesn't hold back the scene too badly. This is another nicely done scene.

Scene 3 – Isis Love and Jack Lawrence

Dirty blonde Isis straightens up a bit and changes into a white towel before cop Jack arrives to check out a report of a disturbance. There's very nice chemistry between Isis and Jack throughout the scene, and I love how she remains in control the entire time. This scene worked very well for me even though the video seemed a touch more artistic than in the other scenes.

Scene 4 – Jenna Presley and Marco Banderas

When brunette Jenna gets pissed and bored home alone, she decides she might as well get in a little diddling. Scene 5 – Audrey Bitoni and Scott Nails

After Audrey gets the money part out of the way with gigolo Scott she brings him in for a test drive. There's a great feeling of urgency and a very good pace to the scene which is helped out a little by the slightly choppy editing. The control theme isn't nearly as strong here as it is in the other scenes, but the artistic style is just as strong. This scene finishes the movie just as strongly as it began.

Audrey: Sexual Freak 8 is a darn hot fuck flick. There's some very nice chemistry throughout the movie, and some nice variations throughout the movie sexually. Jenna's squirting and swallowing easily made her scene the nastiest in the movie, but there's some very nice intensity to come out throughout the movie. I think the main reason I liked Audrey: Sexual Freak 8 so well is the theme of having the women be in control. Yes, I like Celeste's artistic style as well, but it's rare to find the theme of women in control done as well as Celeste does it here. The action is never derogatory, but the issues of control vary very nicely from scene to scene from things as light as having Audrey pay for the sex to Isis taking cop Jack's gun away from him and having him fuck her like crazy. There's enough variation here that I'd have a hard time choosing a favorite scene, as I found a little something that I really liked in each of the scenes. Audrey's final scene might be the weakest for me due to it having the weakest control theme in the movie, but it's still far from even being an average scene. Audrey: Sexual Freak 8 is a darn hot fuck flick with the women in control wrapped in plenty of artistic style.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery can be viewed either manually or as a slide show lasting a little under four minutes with about five seconds per very nice looking snapshot. Trailers are included for Pirates 2, Island Fever 4, Icon, Shay: All American Girl, Jana: Sexual Freak 4, Image, Pirates, and Hannah: Sexual Freak 5. There's also cumshot recaps and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts just under seven minutes with Drax giving it a bit of an old Honk Kong movie feel. Brah Bones starts out chatting about the movie. The Honk Kong feel continues through the featurette with grainy video, subtitles, and even Oriental commercials as Aubrey shoots her scene, Scott tries to catch a nap, and Isis poses for her stills. The next day there's a bit of footage with Mindy, Audrey, and the crew with more Oriental fun. Whether this featurette works for you or not, you have to admit that you don't see porn behind the scenes like this ever day... Or month... Or year.. You don't get much of the personality that often comes out with Digital Playground's behind the scenes featurettes, but the creativity is still there and comes out constantly through the featurette. I don't know that I enjoyed this one as much as many of Digital Playground's other behind the scenes featurettes, but will admit that it was a darn cool thing to try.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. If you like artistic porn and women in control of the sex, this one's going to be well worth your money. The sex is hot and passionate, and the girls are far from submissive. The technical aspects are a bit on the artistic side, but show some definite care. There's also a bit of care put into the extras with a short behind the scenes featurette with plenty of style and a bit of substance. This is a short movie, but a nicely done DVD.

Note to Digital Playground: With features this short a little longer BTS or a few more extras would be very nice.
