Initial Expectations: This series started a bit slow and then really grew on me with Teagan: Sexual Freak 2. Shay Jordan has also really impressed me, so I can't help but go into this one without very high expectations.

Initial Reaction: It's far from freaky, but still another Robby D. winner.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a good variety of action with a bit of intensity

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting heavier fetish, lots of fetishwear, or Shay in anywhere close to a majority of the scenes

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Digital Playground, the technical aspects show some very good care. The audio is clear and well balanced, but it does have a heavier music feel. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and leaves me with a few mixed feelings. The camera work is solid, but it has a heavier artistic feeling that worked for me many times while it held the scene back in others. It often has a filtered look, with lighting varying a little as well. I can't say that this is either a good or bad look for the movie, as I think that will be very personal for the viewer, but I can say that the artistic look didn't always work the best for me.

Music: The music is very heavy through most of the movie, but often has a slightly Latin or jazz feel that gave the movie a sexy feel and really worked for me.

Menus: The main menu nicely works from a bit of simple animation to a few stills with the background animation. The chapter menu starts out with the average style of a chapter number and clip of the chapter and then takes it up a notch by letting you know who the girl is in each scene.

The Feature

Shay: Sexual Freak 3 continues the slightly fetishy side of Digital Playground. The movie goes with a vignette feel and a touch of a fetish theme for each scene along with a quick little setup.

Scene 1 – Shay Jordan and Scott Nails

Shay starts things out looking smoking hot (as usual) in shades, a black belt, and clear and black porno pumps by the pool snapping her fingers for man servant Scott to bring her a black robe. He dutifully makes his delivery and then peeps in on her as she showers up. She's none too happy when she sees him peeping, but quickly turns things around on him by pulling him into the shower with her and having him get down to eat her from behind. Scene 2 – Naomi and Marco Banderas

Marco starts the next scene out sitting in a chair dressed all in black as Naomi struts her stuff up to him in a very sexy and skimpy red outfit holding a glass dildo that she licks and runs around her body. Scene 3 – Tory Lane and Scott Nails

There's a nice touch of intensity to the scene that's partially due to her vocals and energy, and I love how she dominates and teases Scott to start out the scene. The ass eating is also a great touch, but also makes it a bit surprising with Tory when there's no anal in the scene. Even without the anal, this is a darn hot scene that continued to help Shay: Sexual Freak 3 work for me extremely well.

Scene 4 – Sasha Grey and Ben English

When Ben starts packing a bag to go abroad on business, he lets cute brunette Sasha, who's looking darn hot in a red spaghetti strap top, khaki shorts, and black porno pumps, know that it's “adult business” without her so she can fuck off. Once again, I don't know what's that freaky about this scene, but I really can't care with how hot the scene is.

Scene 5 – Skigh Phoxxx and Trent Soluri

This was the weakest scene in the movie for me, but it was still above average.

Scene 6 – Shay Jordan and Marco Banderas

Marco starts out the final scene sleeping in a stainless steel tub with his hands cuffed as Shay wakes him and strips down. She reminds him of how long they've been neighbors with him bringing home plenty of ass while never giving her any attention and how that's now going to change. The scene moves along pretty well, but once again the camera work seemed just a touch off for me. It's still a hot scene that doesn't disappoint, but it isn't quite as good as Shay's opening scene.

Shay: Sexual Freak 3 continues to make the Sexual Freak series one to keep an eye on. This is a bit surprising as the sex is rarely freaky, and although the girls who are featured each time do make multiple appearances in the movie they're far from a dominating character or someone to build the movie around. What saves Shay: Sexual Freak 3 is the same thing that saved the others. There's great passion and intensity in each scene. Yes, there's a few minor fetishes such as the barely legal slut, the servant, and a bit of female domination, but none are really too freaky. I'll admit that this definitely held the series back for me at first, but after getting used to it with Jesse Jane: Sexual Freak, the rest of the series has worked very well for me. I also really like the artistic feel of the movie, which helps set the movie apart from a lot of the other porn movies out there. As for the sex in this one, once again Shay Jordan blew me away, but Sasha Grey wasn't far behind her. Skigh Phoxxx took the other end of the spectrum with a scene that just didn't click for me but did add some nice variety to the movie. Shay: Sexual Freak 3 could have used a bit more of Shay and a little more freakiness, but at the same time it worked very well for me as it is.

Naomi talks about being a Seinfeld and Law & Order girl before Shay talks about being a Scorpio and has a few words with Scott. Finally, Cody and Skigh close things out bustin' a move. This is a pretty good behind the scenes featurette. It's much more straightforward than many of DP's other behind the scenes featurettes, but there's some nice fun built in around the interviews. The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. This one's well worth the low end. The sex is far from freaky, but has some nice intensity and great chemistry. The technical aspects are on the artistic side, but work nicely for the movie. There's also some nice effort put into the extras. This is a hot DVD that shows some nice effort all around.
