The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is very nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen. It sometimes has a slightly artistic washed look, but is nicely lit and well captured.

Music: The music is nicely done. It has a sexy feeling and rests nicely in the background through most of the movie.

Menus: The main menu blends a little animation with a still of Katsuni for a simple but nice first impression. The chapter menu is much the same way, and lets you choose a scene bases on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number, as well as the name of the girl in her first chapter.

The Feature

The Sexual Freak series works as much with style as it does substance or the cover girl. This time the cover girl's Katsuni, which means you get to see her in multiple scenes, and the substance builds itself around women in control and other fetishes.

Yes, there's a touch of domination once again, but there's also a very playful feeling. This scene worked extremely well for me.

The opening was the lightest in terms of the fetish factor, and I think this might be the only scene I've watched between Lacie and Scott from the Playground that didn't include anal. This is a decent scene, but it can't keep up with the other scenes in the movie or the scenes Lacie and Scott have done in the past.

Sexual Freak 10: Katsuni is another nice addition to the series. The fetish aspects are never too heavy, and help the scenes to come off more as playful couples' action with a twist than any kind of real freakiness. Although I'd like a little stronger fetish action at times there's nothing wrong with this and it works both for the style of the movie and the stars. Katsuni did a nice job in each of her scenes, but I think Shay Jordan's scene with Micah Moore and Scott Nails was my favorite, while Lacie Heart's scene ended up as the weakest due to not coming close to the other scenes she's done for Digital Playground with Scott. Sexual Freak 10: Katsuni is a good movie, and gives just what one should expect from Digital Playground and Celeste.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about seven minutes. Shay starts out talking about the movie and Micah before going behind the camera to chat with Katsuni. There's also a little fun with Shay and Katsuni before more screwing around in the Digital Playground behind the scenes way. This is a fairly short featurette, but also has a few chuckles.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. The low end is pretty good for what you get here. The movie is solid, but doesn't go over the top in any way. The technical aspects are nicely done and there's also a bit of care put into the extras with the short behind the scenes featurette. This is a pretty good DVD.

Note to Digital Playground: This has been a good series, and I hope you mix up the “sexual freakiness” a little more in future installments.
