Initial Expectations: This series has been a little hit or miss for me, so I'm not quite sure what to expect here.

Initial Reaction: The scenes are all nicely done, but the movie as a whole could have used a little more sexual variety and the DVD as a whole could have used a little more effort.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are a few background noises during the last scene and the level does vary a little between scenes. The video is presented in the full frame format and looks pretty good. There are a few lighting imbalances and some noticeable pixelation at times, but the camera work is smooth.

Disc Complaints / Authoring Notes: The authoring is a bit funky, which doesn't seem to be anything too unusual with Naughty America. Rather than having the entire movie on a title that makes it easy for viewers to skip to where ever they choose in the movie, which is extremely nice if you get tired of a scene and just want to jump ahead randomly or if you're viewing the movie later and want to go to a specific point in the movie, each scene has its own title, similar to how some studios run their TV shows on DVD. Needless to say, this makes the DVD extremely hard to navigate.

Menus: The main menu just gives a still from the movie with the choices for a lackluster first impression. The chapter menu also shows a touch of effort, and lets you choose a scene based on the name of the cougar in each scene and a still. After you choose a woman you're given the choice of where you'd like to go in the scene sexually and a larger still of her.

The Feature

This is a good scene that closes the movie on about the same level the rest of the movie cruised along at.

Seduced By a Cougar 9 is a nicely done MILF release. As usual with Naughty America the scenes are all very couples friendly, and here it's a bit of a blessing and a curse. On the plus side, the cast does a very nice job with the women making their preying on the younger guys fun without them getting annoying or pushy, and the sex is extremely consistent. I'll readily admit to smiling at many of the openings, and it helps to lead into some nice chemistry in each of the scenes. At the same time, with every scene being an older woman preying on a younger guy leading into one-on-one vaginal only sex the scenes do start to flow into each other. Watching them one at a time I can see this being a very enjoyable movie, but watching several scenes together it started to lose its steam despite a nice job from the cast. Seduced By a Cougar 9 is a collection of nicely done sex scenes that could have really used a bit more variety.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Naughty America’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $27 with most stores offering them under $20. Aim for the low end here. The movie isn't bad, but there isn't a lot of variety to the scenes. The technical aspects are above average, but as usual with Naughty America there's no real effort put into the extras. This is a decent movie on a DVD that could have used a little more effort all around.

Note to Naughty America: If you're going to release bare bones DVDs, please try to lower your prices to reflect the lower effort you put into your product compared to your competition.
