Audio /Video Quality:
The technical aspects are fantastic, and look every bit as solid as one would expect from a mainstream movie. The audio is very well balanced and there's nothing even close to a background noise. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. It's nicely clear with great care towards the lighting.
Watermark Warning:
Although I don't know of anybody who likes watermarks, I can understand companies wanting to take some kind of action to protect themselves with how much piracy occurs in today's world. As I know some don't agree with this thought, I will note that there is a tasteful watermark in the lower right corner that's so light that I barley noticed it through much of the movie unless the memory of it popped into my head and I looked to see if it was still there. If one has to do a watermark, this is definitely the way to do it.
The Movie:
As a freshman, Carter fell hard for Chad, only to discover that she was only part of a frat initiation prank. Fast forward to her senior year, when she thinks she has her life under control only to have Chad walk into the bar where she works bringing back plenty of old feelings as well as uncertainties. Things quickly get complicated when her boss Brendon confesses his feelings for her and Chad makes an anonymous attempt to try to atone for his past sins. The hardest thing for her, however, might just be giving herself a second chance at love.

Second Chances is another fantastic couples feature from Jacky St. James. This is a release that's done extremely well so far in awards season, and all the accolades it's received are completely deserved. Yes, romantic comedies are pretty formulaic and this one is too, but it plays every bit as good if not better than the rom-coms coming out of Hollywood and gets all the stronger because the sex fits into the story extremely well. There's great chemistry among the entire cast, and they make their characters seem real rather than being one dimensional caricatures. Carter especially excels here, and gives Madison a great sense of depth as the girl who can't let go of her past to move on with her future. The rest of the cast is just as good, with Brendon as the lovestruck Dean trying to get her to move on, Chad as the evil frat boy Josh who's grown up a lot over the last few years, and Allie as the evil sorority ho who doesn't care about anything but herself, not to mention Jessa and Logan as Carter's best friends. The little details carry right down to things like the locations and outfits, both of which seem completely natural. Sexually the movie rocks just as well, with great chemistry in each of the four scenes and a fantastic focus on passion and romance. Second Chances is a fantastic couples feature that's definitely worth the purchase, and every bit as solid as the romantic comedies coming out in the mainstream movie world.
The Extras:
The photo gallery lasts about two and a half minutes. There's also trailers, a behind the scenes featurettes, an alternate ending, and commercials.
The alternate ending lasts about a minute and a half. There's not a lot changed from the original movie, but one change is very major and I personally didn't think it worked as well as the original. It's a decent option that makes for a nice addition to the overall release, but I definitely think that Jacky St. James went the right way for the main movie.
The outtakes last about seven and a quarter minutes. There's plenty of flubbed lines and fun throughout the shooting of the movie. It's all for the story portion and nothing for the sex, but no shortage to the laughs and fun. This is a solid addition to the overall release.
The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twelve and a half minutes. Jacky starts out chatting with Carter and Brendon on the pool table about working together for the first time, the tension that built between them making the movie, and theft of music and movies. There's also a completely different bit of fun as Carter helps Brendon clean up. Carter returns with Chad to chat about frats and sororities, breaking hearts, and forgiveness. Finally you get a little fun with Allie, Chad, and a floor full of flour to add a little more fun. This is a great behind the scenes featurette that's a nice blend of interviews and fun with a few things you won't find anywhere else.

This is one of the best features to come out of 2014 and is well worth the purchase.
