A quick note on scene ratings - unlike many reviewers of different things who tend to rate "average" as 7/10. I rate average as 5/10, this makes 7/10 from me quite a bit above average, so bear this in mind.

I haven't watched any of Michael Ninn's recent work for ages, but based on his past work, and the DIVA title I recently reviewed and the fact that this is also a g/g flick, I'm expecting something that's very similar to Andrew Blake's work. Despite that many of the cast are European (and one Aussie), the girls in this disc very much share the "American Stripper" glamour look

Scene 1:
Nikki Blond, Wanda Curtis.

Both girls are European, and this being Ninn's work, naturally look gorgeous. Nikki is a natural-breasted blonde while Wanda is a brunette with large natural breasts. There's more than a touch of Andrew Blake to this scene as the footage starts with each of them posing. Nikki looks exceptionally fetching in her white wedding dress, but then, so does Wanda. There's a touch of foot licking, lots of eye contact and a fair amount of fingering. No dildoes make an appearance.

This is stylised, "coffee table" porn. It's a Penthouse spread that's moving, not "real" sex. If you like this sort of thing, it's great. If you're not into it, then I'd definately avoid it.

Scene 2:
Jodie Moore, Vicki Broone.

Vicki Broone is a tall brunette with dark hair in a "bob" haircut. Jodie Moore is a living Barbie doll. Both are wearing stylised pinstripe suits, both with stockings which they keep on throughout the scene. . They're in a richly-furnished study, and the sex happens mostly on the desk they were poring over at the scene intro. There's some twee Penhouse-Forum voiceover at the scene's beginning, but it's quickly over and replaced by the music which then cuts, unusually for a Ninn scene to normal audio (which I believe is dubbed, but hey). This scene is more traditional sex that the last, starting with Vicki going down on and fingering Jodie before having the favour returned, followed by a 69. Some caressing and that's it.

Less MTV-edited than the past scene, it's still not one for the ultra-hardcore crowd, but I certainly enjoyed it.

Scene 3:
Anna Karin, Laura Capri, Linda Shane.
Dildoes.

Three gorgeous girls on a stairwell. The footage is extremely over-exposed to begin with, very washed out. I'll admit that since I've never seen any of the three girls before, I've forgotten who is who from the brief snippet at the head of the film. The girls each stand on the spiral staircase and masturbate in turn to a Ninn disco soundtrack, though the scene has been so over-exposed in the editing process. Some pyrex dildoes make an appearance as the girls individually masturbate with them. Finally the extreme over-exposure ends, but we're still left with a sepia image, and the girls start to interact as we're shown various shots of them dildoing one another and lapping at labia, though it doesn't last long at all.

Though I understand that Ninn is attempting to use a variety of visual styles across the scenes of this DVD, this one really didn't work for me. I found the over-exposed imagery to be distracting more than arousing on any level, and while the hardcore interaction between the girls was well-shot, it was like a footnote at the end of the scene, and shot in a cold sepia. The over-use of extreme closeups made the scene even more impersonal and disjointed. Some might like it or appreciate it, but this scene didn't work for me and was instead a waste of potential and some very lovely women.

Scene 4:
Judit Vecsey, Veronika, Nikki Blond.
G/G Dildo Play

Judit is another gorgeous Barbie Doll, playing in a bathtub full of milk, which is located in the middle of some warehouse space somewhere. The music sounds like a rip off of Enigma in this scene. There are some cutaways to Nikki Blond and Veronika wearing transparent raincoats in the background, but the majority of the first minutes of this scene is simply Judit pouring milk over her body, which creates quite the hynotic visual. After awhile Judit rubs her clit and pussy, and the milk dripping off her ass and pussy again creates a striking visual.

After some time the music ends, and a new track begins, which also marks the start of part 2 of this scene, as Judit is now gone, replaced in the tub by the pairing of Nikki Blond and Veronika, who has small natural breasts. Again we're treated to much ass-fondling and milk being poured over buttocks. The funny thing is that if it were water, I'd be bored but the milk creates such a striking visual that I just keep enjoying watching.

Now we cut again to Judit reclining in the bathtub, as she (and we) watch Veronika and Nikki outside the bathtub (and dry, obviously shot before the wet section). Nikki stands, with one leg on a ladder while Judit really gives her a deep pussy licking and clit sucking. Nikki looks almost like Monique Covet here. Soon a large clear jelly dildo makes an appearance, as Nikki shoves it up herself before it's taken over by Judit doing the pounding. After a good long while of Nikki getting all the attention, Judit lays back against the ladder and Nikki does her with the dildo for awhile.

Well, this scene was really good. The visual created by the milk and a talented director like Ninn was amazing. The only drawback was not seeing the incredible-looking Judit have sex with anyone, though according to IAFD, she's only been in 4 films besides this one (and all for Ninn Worx)

Scene 5:
Judith Bodor, Michelle Wild, Wanda Curtis.

Judith is yet another blonde Barbie, and stands around in a large room topless and doing the standard self-fondling thing. She quickly strips off her little black dress, and continues her fondling while wearing only stockings and high heels. Cut to Michelle Wild, who should need no description, though her hair is darker than usual. Michelle wears a black minidress with long stockings and also does the self- fondling thing. Wanda Curtis then makes an appearance, and quickly takes off her top and sits down on a chair in front of a large window, takes off her pants, leaving only calf-high heeled boots, climbs onto the chair by the window and fingers herself. Soon we see Judith and Michelle start to have sex as Wanda, clothed, sits on the chair with a cigarette while she watches them intently.

Judith and Michelle both look fantastic, but Ninn's decision to have the window's lightsource in the background creates some real issues, making it difficult to see what's going on. After awhile of licking and fingering by Jutith and Michelle, Wanda joins them and the three of them have a finger fest for several minutes until the scene ends.

This scene was again disappoiting, as Ninn again let his style overwhelm the substance. It was still watchable, but I found it more frustrating than pleasurable.

Well, this disc was pretty much totally as expected. Exquisitely-shot Penthouse-magazine sex. The problem with Ninn, as mentioned before is that he often lets his style overcome the substance. It's a real shame, since when this works, it works well (as in the milk scene) but when it doesn't, it just frustrates, as in the final scene or the washed-out sepia scene. The reccomendation for this is pretty simple. If you like this kind of porn, you should like this, and if you don't, you won't. I'd recommend Ninn's DIVA series over this title in general, for those seeking more hardcose sex with their arty-shots, but Sapphic Liasons, despite it's flaws is still better than 80% of g/g porn out there.
