INTRODUCTION

This is an early 90's feature from the famous Italian director Mario Salieri . The first thing to note is that you can watch it in either English or French . Both are dubbed , so as an English speaker you'll gain little by using the French option . The English dub is ... adequate , nothing more . It's a fair deal better than most porn dubbing I've heard , but struggles against the multiple languages the cast must've been using . Some parts are down right hilarious while others are genuinely effective , a really mixed bag . The menu is effective enough , though nothing special , and the music used is halfway between classy and kitsch .

PICTURE & SOUND

Remembering that this was shot over a decade ago , it's not holding up badly at all . The picture isn't going to knock your socks off , and it's definitely not one to showcase your AV system . But it's one of , if not the , best transfers I've seen from a film made at that time . The sound is okay . Again nothing flash , about the only annoying factor is the music and dubbing .

THE STORY

Here we have a tale of politics , the media , and the mafia . What it boils down to is corruption and the fight to prevent its exposure . Angelica Bella is supposed to be the 17 year old daughter ( yes really ! ) of Deborah Well's character . Deborah's onscreen husband is the editor of a TV station , and has decided to reveal the truth about the mafia and their connections to politicians . There are other married men in the news station as well , each with their wives safely secreted away - or so they think .
So how does the mafia decide to fight back ? Send in their dapper playboy of course . Enter Christoph Clark , a man who will seduce first the daughter ( Angelica ) and then the wife ( Deborah ) of the TV editor . Each of the other wives will be pressurised one way or another into sex as well , sometimes by their own husbands ! How does it end ? Will the truth be told ? Have you lost interest yet ? Description
This is extremely short and it's questionable whether it should qualify as a scene . But Christophe does ejaculate , so I decided to let it count . Angelica and CC meet up on a stone staircase and she proceeds to jerk him off . She doesn't take her clothes off and neither does he , instead he pops his todger through his zipper ( a trick which is quite common in European films ) . There's an air of nervousness here , with both participants looking around to make sure they don't get caught at it . Frankly this is more of an appetiser for the main action to come .

Description
Christope leads Angelica into a dilapidated and deserted building , before running his hands over her fabulous body . Angelica has a very odd blowjob technique . The RC which follows is very beautiful but it's nothing compared to the doggy anal which follows . Those stockings look fantastic on Ms Bella and CC gives a good hard pounding . Unfortunately though it's shown in slow-mo , presumably because Mario didn't get enough footage for one reason or another . Actually that's a complaint which could be levelled at most of the positions shown here . They aren't held for long enough , even if they do look very nice while they last .

Description
And so we begin the degradation scenes . Ashley is dressed up to the nines in a purple outfit with flesh coloured stockings , while the 4 men are wearing the clothes Oxfam rejected . The play here is that a high class woman is doing the nasty with a group of beggars , slightly against her will . Don't get me wrong , this isn't a rape scene . It's tough to know exactly what leverage has been applied to Ashley's character , forcing her into this , but she doesn't look too happy to be there - in the beginning at least . As the sexual desire begins to flow , her resistance melts and eventually she's not holding back anywhere near as much . Meanwhile , the old man Piero Dionisi (who arranged all this) watches on and masturbates . Ashley Nichols' character isn't beaten , slapped , or chocked , so by most normal standards of American porn this would be quite tame stuff . But throw in the fact that she's clearly doing this against her will , and you have something very different indeed .

Description
If Angelica is the Ferrari of the porn world then Deborah Wells is the Rolls Royce . There's no hard pounding , or anal for that mater , in this scene . I've read that Christoph was dating Ms Wells at the time this film was shot , and the care with which he handles her supports that rumour . The action from this scene is inter-cut with that from scene 5 , it's not fast cutting but it may still distract you . The point ( I think ) that Mario is making is first to show the mother fucking before switching over and saying ' but look what the daughter gets up to !' The interplay of the two pieces of footage could be quite erotic if you're of that mind . Deborah starts with a slow striptease for Christoph before they move into the sex . Looking for vigorous pumping ? Well it's not to be found here , this is much more sedate and measured . As an encore CC fires his load onto a glass window and Deborah licks some of it off , an interesting move .

Description
In a warped sort of way what Mario is really saying here is ' kids today , huh ! ' While mother has a leisurely romp with just the one guy , her daughter ( AB ) is off getting analised and DPed by two bums off of the street . It's not like it was in my day , I tells ya . DPs aren't really my deal , but Angelica has never looked lovelier than in those stockings and the footage here is very hot . Both the top and bottom ( a gay term surely ) give Angie a solid pounding and the camera is placed just right to show us everything , including her reaction . In RC anal the old man clamps his wizened mouth onto one of Angelica's breasts for a quick suck . This doesn't exactly hit the high spot with me , then again maybe it's more your kind of kink . Quite a hot little number here is fractured by the inclusion of the DW/CC footage . It's a shame because in a less bity presentation it could have been far sexier .

Description
Joy has a fantastic pair of melons that call out to me through the TV screen . Unfortunately the rest of her doesn't stack up so well , and the headband she wears in this scene is just plain wrong . After a so-so striptease she gives herself unwillingly to Eric Dromer who's playing one of the mafia goons . As with the two previous scenes , this and scene 7 are intermingled making it hard to focus on either . The point here is lost on me , as both are effectively showing the same thing . Women being used by their husbands to buy them some breathing space from the bad guys . It's like the plot of a Disney movie isn't it . The environment they're in isn't all that hot ( an abandoned warehouse ) , in fact that concrete floor looks positively freezing . The glamorous life of a porn star huh ? Other than Joy's jugs there's little worth watching here , as the action is solid but uninspired .

Description
And so to the final scene . The old man Piero brings Cristina Stevens to his favourite beggar . Piero , will you be my friend too ? Cristina stays in character very well during the sex which follows , never showing any interest or lust for her male companion . I can't help but wonder how much of this is acting . The main downer here for me was Piero trying to slip his tongue into CS's mouth . Needless to say she wasn't having any of it and clenched her teeth in response . She was sooo into him ! If seeing a good looking woman get fucked , while exhibiting all the enthusiasm of a blow up doll , gets you off then you'll be in heaven . Me ? I wanted it ' once more with feeling ' .

THE GOOD

Angelica Bella ( credited here as Gabriella Dari ) turns my crank in the worst possible way , so you may want to bear that in mind when deciding on this movie . However , hopefully you'll agree with me that she is more than a bit of a looker . Mario Salieri frames and lights his scenes better than any other director that I've seen in XXX . The upshot of this is that his films ( yep they're shot on film ) end up looking about as close to mainstream releases as you're likely to get . The atmosphere which he creates and captures is very distinctive , it appeals to me though it may be an acquired taste . The most impressive aspect of his films ( including this one ) is how well the sex fits into the story that he's telling . When people fuck it actually has an effect on what might come next . A rare quality .

THE BAD

There's barely any music during this feature , except during the sex scenes ! This leaves the impression that Mario is more interested in telling his story than he is in filming hot sex . Hardly the sort of thing you want from a porno director . Another point is the acting , which isn't great . The non-sex performers are , just , acceptable in their roles . But the porn stars are fairly hopeless , effectively just walking on and saying their lines before leaving again . The dubbed in groans during the sex aren't great either . They're over the top and are completely incongruous with the pictures being shown . Frankly you'd be better turning the volume off to watch this one . Also bad is that none of the sex scenes lasts very long , which does become a little frustrating as the film continues . Judicious use of the AB repeat button comes in quite handy here . However , the award for most distracting feature must go to the lack of true passion between the performers . The whole thing is a little clinical at times with the sex quite mannered .

TO SUM UP

The main reason I bought this DVD was Angelica Bella , and with two and a bit scenes it's not a bad purchase . If on the other hand you're looking for mutually passionate sex you might want to look elsewhere . The downside of those brilliantly framed shots is a lack of energy in the action . Put simply , there's no spontaneity . It's all beautiful to look at , but there's little emotion or true interaction going on . Of course , sometimes that's all I'm after , so it can occasionally hit the spot for me . However this isn't the best of Salieri's DVDs that I've seen , Faust for instance is far better . I'd recommend this disc mainly to fans of the individual stars or if you can buy it on the cheep .
