This is my first exposure to a title from the new studio Vertigo. They have quickly become infamous due to their controversial print ads (see their Gia Paloma "Dope" ad in the March 2005 Adult Video News). The company seems to like pushing the porn envelope, and I am eagerly anticipating this one with the delectable Tyla Wynn on the cover.

"Rock Hard 2" focuses on rough, high-energy, balls-to-the-wall sex. This is certainly not a feature film or a couples release. The overall tone is one of female subjugation and degradation; the girls really get put through the wringer here, getting fingers and dicks shoved down their throats to open every scene. There's lots of drooling, hair-pulling, spitting, and screaming. Perverts, raincoaters, and fans of rough, aggressive sex will simply adore this title. Others, I'm sure you know who you are, will want to completely steer clear.

Scene 1: Melissa Lauren and two guys

Melissa Lauren seems to be in almost every movie I watch nowadays, but that's certainly not a bad thing. Melissa is a insatiable French superstarlet who is usually blonde, but in this scene has darker brown hair. She gets the director's fingers shoved down her throat (every girl does this) before getting absolutely man-handled by a couple of studs.

Of course, sometimes this makes the action kind of blurry, but the director does a good job at cleaning up the lens in between cuts. I'm sure many will love and some will hate Vertigo's stab at porn originality. I personally found it extremely hot.

The only real complaint I had with the title was the video quality, which was not superior but was certainly adequate. A number of the scenes using natural lighting looked a tad too "hot" (bright) and washed-out. Also, the navigation on the DVD is not that great. There are no chapter stops within the scenes; this means that you can only navigate to the beginning of a scene. These are very minor complaints, and overall Vertigo has put together an impressive gonzo release.

"Rock Hard 2" even comes with its own cheesy theme song which plays over the opening credits. I'm sure it will be stuck in everyone's head for days: "You wanna rock hard... You wanna rock hard, baby, We're gonna fuck hard, don't you knoooooowwww..." Certainly it's not for everyone, but if you love hard, aggressive rough sex with attractive young cock-crazed girls, you cannot go wrong with this one.
