The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are some of the best I’ve seen from Rocco. The audio is clear and well balanced, and although there are a few background noises they’re quiet and don’t seem to be from the crew. The only background noises I noticed were the occasional car or airplane going by. The video is also very nicely done. There’s just a hint of grain, but it never interferes with the movie. It’s also very nicely lit. There’s a few minor shadows and areas which are over lit, but that’s it for lighting problems.

Music: There’s a little music in the first scene, but that’s it for the movie. The music rests very quietly in the background, and actually enhances the movie a little. I was more than a little surprised to hear music, and it was definitely a nice surprise.

Menus: As usual, the main menu is nicely done. It’s simple, blending a bit of the movie with a very nice still, but works. More impressive is the chapter menu, which shows the care of allowing the viewer to select a group of chapters based on the ladies in each section, and the fetish menu, which allows the viewer to jump directly to specific sex acts such as blowjobs, anal, or cumshots.

The Feature

When Julia Robert, Rocco’s biggest fan in Russia writes him, begging him to come to Moscow, he feels a tug on his heart strings, I mean zipper. Rocco gets it on with Julia on a picnic table outside in the second scene. This is another very nice scene. I love Julia’s playfulness throughout the entire scene, and she handles the size of both Rocco and Kid Jamaica extremely well. Unlike some performers, Julia’s playfulness doesn’t come and go throughout the scene, but stays there from the start right to the end despite a break and switching partners. Lucy didn’t impress me quite as much, but she also did a nice job. She didn’t have quite the exposure as Julia did throughout the scene, which is probably part of why she didn’t impress me as much. More than that, however, is that she didn’t have Julia’s spark. Julia really makes the scene, and her chemistry with both guys (as well as her energy and flexibility) go a long ways towards making this scene another winner.

Scene 3 - Daria, Katia, Kid Jamaica, and Kevin King

When Kid Jamaica and Kevin get back to the hotel room, they find Daria and Kaita waiting there without much of anything on. This is a great scene to end things with! Rocco gets a little of the intensity that I expected from him into the scene, and the girls took it very well. Once again, Kid Jamaica adds some nice comic relief, as well as hot sex, and fits in with the rest of the cast very well. This is a great scene that mixes things up nicely.

Rocco Ravishes Russia is a winner of a movie. No, it isn’t Rocco at his most intense, but it is Rocco at his best. Rocco varies the intensity very nicely throughout the movie, which gives it quite a bit of depth. Although the intensity varies, the chemistry never does. Every scene is overflowing with enjoyment, and I never had so much as a partial thought that somebody in the cast wasn’t having a great time. I was actually considering giving the sex rating a half a point lower rating, but with this kind of feeling to the sex I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Another nice thing about Rocco Ravishes Russia is the cast. I don’t think I’ve seen a single woman in here before, and this definitely added a little enjoyment to the scenes for me. I’ve heard some people complain about Rocco looking too egotistical, and I can almost see that a few times here (so those people might want to rent this one first). The main thing I saw, however, was Rocco having a real love for what he’s doing. He’s accomplished a lot in the adult industry and is entitled to a bit of ego, and it never seemed out of place for me here. Rocco Ravishes Russia is an excellent movie!

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery contains roughly fifty excellent looking snapshots. There’s also a cast listing by scene, web information, a bio of Rocco Siffredi, and a bonus scene. The bonus scene lasts just over thirty two minutes and takes place during a break during the scene between Katia, Daria, Kid Jamaica, and Kevin King. Rocco feels the need during the shooting of the scene to get involved, and gets a bit of head from Katia. There’s plenty of joking between Kid Jamaica, Rocco, and Gabriel Zero. Much of it is in Italian, but it’s still enjoyable to watch just due to how enthusiastic the guys get while they bullshit. It also fits right in since much of the featurette shows some of the language difficulties the guys had communicating with the girls. You also learn that Kevin couldn’t handle the pop, so Rocco volunteered to step in and do it. This actually impressed me as most studios seem to hide from the idea of using a stunt cock. Finally, you learn that raw eggs don’t always work to fake cum even when Kid Jamaica is having problems, and that there are times you better be ready to laugh on Rocco’s set. Finally, you get a little of Rocco and Gabriel on the airplane. It’s a fun, sexy, and sometimes even interesting featurette that really felt unique to me in many ways.

The scenes are hot and very enjoyable, the technical aspects are very well done, and there’s even plenty of extra footage. This is a winner of a DVD!
