Rising Sun (Titan Men) Review

A fitting subtitle for this feature would be GODS & TROLLS. There are certainly gods—the handsome Rick Bauer and the awesomely built Fernando Nielson with the American Colin O’Neal as a minor deity, but the rest of the cast belong under a bridge.

The action takes place at Saint Tropez on the French Riviera, a gorgeous setting for the action. In the background we hear an instrumental of “The House of the Rising Sun”. I remember my friend Carolyn Hester singing it and—if I’m not mistaken—it concerns a whorehouse.

The first scene is with the two deities: Rick Bauer and Fernando Nielson. They light a fire in the fireplace and sit chatting away in their native language. It doesn’t matter if you can’t understand what they are saying. It’s enough just to look at these guys. Fernando is shirtless showing his Mr. Universe physique. But after the two preceding scenes it was too little too late. It would have been better just to have the three scenes with the gods and perhaps a tour of the beaches at Saint Tropez.
