Remy La Croix (Blu-ray) (Elegant Angel) Review

In scene one, Remy is in a hot threesome with amazing-ass star Jada Stevens and Michael Stefano, and while only Jada gets anal fucked, Remy shows no squeamishness in sucking the cock straight out of her co-star's fine booty hole—definitely a strong start to the film. In the next scene she's with Manuel Ferrara, as reliable as a male talent and you'll find, in a terrific one-on-one where she does take it in the ass, and the chemistry between them is very good. The middle scene is a lesbian one, with Remy and Lexi Belle, and I had some expectations for this one after the great opening tease with Remy hula-hooping and Lexi in roller skates. Unfortunately, the sex got a bit meddling with some weird-looking toys and I found hard to get into after the halfway point (I'm a fan of girl-girl scenes, though admittedly am partial to ones with storylines). Not a bad scene per se, but easily my least favorite of the movie.

The last two scenes, arguably the two best of the movie, make up for the lackluster third scene and then some. Next up, Remy does the legend Lexington Steel, taking his big black dick vaginally and anally in multiple positions with a depth quite astounding for someone of her size. It's less passionate than the Manuel scene, but I prefer this one, slightly, for its high sexual energy, the deep penetrations, and the camerawork. Lastly, in her third boy-girl anal scene in the movie, she gets a double penetration by Ramon Nomar and Erik Everhard's big dicks, and this is probably my favorite Remy scene—not just out of the movie, but of any scene I've ever seen her in. Remy's first scene ever shot was supposedly a gangbang for Kink.com that included DPs, so this wasn't a landmark for her, but having seen that earlier scene, I can say she definitely seems more comfortable with a cock in each hole in this film, appearing to really enjoy the act which she gets it in various ways for quite a large portion of the scene the part with her getting standing DP (the guys each standing and she in-between lifted off the ground) is particularly outstanding.

Great award-winning gonzo director Mason, the girl-girl scene aside, does some of her best work from her Elegant Angel period here (she's moved on to XEmpire, and since she's left there's been I think a pretty obvious decline at EA). Extras include some ten minutes of behind the scenes, a cumshot recap, photo gallery, & trailers.

Unfortunately, Blu-ray porn hasn't been supported by the industry for years, outside some popular post-2000 legacy films where there's a demand (like the best-selling Pirates films from Digital Playground) and whatever leftover stock there is from films made years ago. When they were being turned out, Elegant Angel was one of the top companies supporting the format, putting out films with sharp video quality, well earning its use displaying fantastic 1080p outputs that show all you could want (at least short of modern 4K films). Along with Remy, I bought Asa Akira's Insatiable 2 (another movie by Mason) and a couple other of the company's pre-2014 movies on Blu-ray. But alas, advanced disk media is not where the industry is heading, and if you want the best picture quality, unless you can find a used BR copy, you'll have to buy it on-demand, or with a subscription to the Elegant Angel website. Still, whatever format you can find it in, including on DVD, this is one film porn fans definitely should see if they see any of Ms. LaCroix's work, especially for the scene with Manuel, Lex's big-dick interracial, and above all the thrilling DP.
