Real Sex Magazine 30 Review

The First Word: Why put up with Ed Power's annoying banter or appearances when you can see brand new girls with decent guys and minimum B.S. thanks to Real Sex Magazine?  RSM is one of my favorite series.  Does Volume 30 live up to its award-winning past?

What's It About?: Real Sex Magazine is a pro-am series featuring young women (generally 18-21) who are new to the business, sometimes in their first appearances.   Now up to Volume 41 (at the time this review was written), it's obvious that RSM must be doing something right.  More specifically, the format works and the girls are cute.  The scene begins with a short interview with each girl by the series' director, "Wild Bill" Witrock, in which he asks her name, how old she is, where she's from, and what she's in to, sexually.  He has her undress and makes a few comments about her beauty before the intro ends and the scene begins.

The first girl featured in RSM 30 is a first- time, cute, 19-year old blonde from Southern California named Jesse.  She's got a beautiful body with perfect C-cup tits.  She says that she likes force during sex, so she's matched up (appropriately enough) with T.T. Boy.   He fits the bill, grabbing her throat, slapping her face lightly, pinching her nose when she's blowing him so she can't breathe, forcing her head back and forth on his cock, putting his hand over her mouth, etc.   Beyond the rough sex elements, the action itself is very hot in all of its explicit glory, especially the reverse cowgirl and prone doggie style positions.  Unfortunately, the ending is distasteful and detracts from the rest of the scene (see below for more details).

Next, an 18-year old brunette from Tennessee, Gauge, gets it on with her boyfriend, Mojo.  The couple is awkward-looking--although Gauge has nice tits, her face is a little homely and her roughly-shaved pubes highlights her dangling pussy lips.  Mojo is worse, with his long, greasy hair and pasty, slightly overweight body with ample tattoo coverage.  But they go at each other enthusiastically, and her petite body and his big cock make an attractive couple. They have anal sex (both doggie and reverse cowgirl) as fast and furiously as they screw normally.  A nice scene, except for Gauge's reluctant facial, when she describes how Mojo's cum tastes like the chicken fried steak and eggs he ate earlier.  I could have done without that!

The third scene is a long-haired Filipino girl named Mei-Yu.  Personally, I'm not that attracted to Asian girls, but I'm sure that those who do will appreciate her beauty.  She doesn't have a very outgoing personality, saying very little during her interview.  At first, she's a cold fish, but she warms up as her scene with Rick Masters progresses.  The scene finishes with her first anal and an ass-to-mouth oral pop shot (and Mei-Yu is the first one who doesn't react negatively to a facial).

The video ends with a stunning blonde Hungarian girl named Sophie.  At 5' 9" and a butt to die for, she's the most gorgeous of the girls.  She will only do a short masturbation scene, which turns out to be good eye candy, but her climax seems to be MIA.  It's a pity, since I was really wanting to see more of her.

What I liked:  Pretty, all natural girls:  I don't know how Bill Witrock manages to find these fresh, young girls.  For the most part, they are all-natural and young looking.  Most importantly, they seem to enjoy sex, and since they are amateurs or relative newcomers, they don't fake it like most porn starlets do (or at least, they aren't as obvious about it).  It's refreshing to see pro-am videos rather than the cookie-cutter professional porn releases all of the time.

What I didn't like: Rough sex and distasteful ending in Jesse's scene:  First, I'm a big opponent to showing rough sex (slapping, choking, disrespecting) in porn, not only because I don't think anyone should be treated that way, but also because it brings a lot of unwanted attention to the business and gives opponents the ammunition they need to vilify porn.  In this scene, T.T. Boy, who's made quite a reputation for himself as someone who enjoys dominating and controlling women, does just that to Jesse.  Even though Jesse says that's what she likes, at 19, I don't know whether she really knew what she was getting in to.  Even though T.T. only "playfully" slaps her and lightly chokes and covers her nose & mouth, I get the impression that it's a very restrained performance.  Okay, so it's consensual and some people are into sort of thing...that doesn't mean that I have to like it. 

Also, as I alluded to earlier, the ending of the scene was disturbing.  That's because as T.T. is about to cum, he moves up to prepare for an oral, she suddenly looks scared and says, "I don't want it in my mouth."  But he doesn't stop and pops on her face and in her mouth.  When I saw her start to retch, I thought she was going to puke.  After she recovers (and with a lot of spitting and wiping), she says, "I warned you!"  Then both T.T. and the director laugh and T.T. tries to play it off like it was part of the game.  There's a cutaway, followed by a minute of footage shot later where she's laughing while T.T. slaps her face playfully--obviously meant to show that everything is "all right."  I think what disturbs me more than the ugly ending was that the footage was released.  The professional thing would have been to reshoot the ending (even faking the climax if necessary) and leave out the unwanted facial.  Leaving it in for us to judge is a shitty thing to do, just like Diabolic did with Aspen Brock's anal pain in Gangbang Auditions 3.  Get that shit out of here!

DVD Extras:  Pretty skimpy on the extras:  only a photo gallery and a cumshot review.  The gallery's photos are quite nice, since they are about the same quality and content as the outstanding boxcover photos.  I just wish there were more of them.  The cumshot review plays the endings of all of the scenes (including those with no cumshot) so you can see the climaxes, but personally I find the pre-money shot action better for wanking purposes than the endings. 

A/V Quality:  Real Sex Magazine has always been rock solid in the A/V department.  Just check out the video captures on the left side of the screen for example of the picture clarity.  The colors are even more vivid than the vidcaps manage to show.  No video glitches or pixelation to speak of.  It's about the best overall video quality for a series of this type that I've ever seen.  The audio is also very good, although I hate having to dial my speaker volume up to clearly hear the dialogue in the intro and then down to muffle the screams during sex.   But that's my only A/V-related complaint.

The Last Word:  So does RSM 30 live up to the previous volumes? If it weren't for the endings to the first two scenes, I would have recommended it.  But I'm not comfortable making that recommendation since the forced oral cumshot and the "too much information" comment in the second scene are so distasteful.  Absent of that, it's a good Real Sex Magazine volume, so if you can handle what supposedly was among consenting adults and the breakfast menu, it is worth a look.
