Audio/visual quality: It's my understanding that the audiovisual quality of amateur DVDs is often lacking. What I'm seeing/hearing here, however, is surprisingly good. The problems are brief and minor, like the temporary color shift in the second scene when the performers knock a lamp over in their excitement. A crew member's foot also intrudes in a couple places, and pixelation occurs in the foreground in one scene. But overall, there's a pleasing mix of camera angles and the focus normally remains sharp.

Except for the rock theme during the credits, music is completely absent from this DVD. The audio suffers somewhat from background hiss, but sounds like the bed squeaking and the performers panting are perfectly clear. There are also a few location noises (airplanes, a barking dog), but they're relatively insignificant.

False advertising: I agree with astroknight's comments; the text on the back cover is confusingly worded and borders on false advertising. It should read, "See our web site for behind-the-scenes photos, for tapes in production and to find out how you can be in a tape." None of those extras are included on the disc; they're available online only.

First impression: I'm real happy with the real deal!

Scene highlights: Kelly calls Michael over to their bed, where she slips out of her burgundy chemise and thong. He strokes her hair as she enthusiastically bounces her mouth up and down his cock. They show a genuine interest in their partner's pleasure. They're also generally capable of climaxing from the intercourse alone, with little if any additional handwork.

The Real Deal Amateurs web site states, "Our main goal is to create sex-positive entertainment for adults. Adding to the sexual pleasure of adults is our intent. You will not see women degraded in our tapes." This alone gives me a great feeling about this company, and I sincerely hope they continue this series.

Thumbs down: To earn five stars from me, the sex would need to include more foreplay and afterplay, especially the latter. The picture fades to black immediately after each cumshot. I feel like most of the scenes have pulled to an abrupt halt at least 10–15 seconds too soon. Amanda plays with her guy's cum for over half a minute in the last scene, which I would consider the one satisfying finish on this disc.

The lack of extras also hurt the overall rating, dropping it from a 4 to a 3.5. I'd like to know a bit more about the performers. The bios/interviews needn't be too self-revealing; it'd be nice just to learn which ones are married, how long they've been together, one or two things that turn them on and why they decided to do a tape (if they don't mind sharing that info). Even if that's not possible, a bonus scene and/or trailers would significantly enhance the value of this DVD. More chapter stops would also be helpful.

I definitely recommend this DVD to anyone who's interested in the amateur genre.
