Initial Expectations: I really enjoyed Real Deal Amateurs: Real Naughty Wives and Girlfriends, which gives me a lot of hope here as well.

Initial Reaction: It’s another great amateur feature, but it lacks a little as a DVD.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants to see realistic sex with real people who obviously love to fuck

Audio /Video Quality: Amateur titles are notoriously low budget titles, so you don’t expect all the bells and whistles technically. That said, the feature looks and sounds pretty darn good! The audio balance comes and goes a little through the feature, and there are a few background noises now and then, such as bedsprings or an airplane flying over, but you can always hear the performers very well. The video is also very clear, with very few shadows to get in the way. There are very few soft focus problems or camera jitters that many might expect with a feature like this, which really impressed me. The biggest problem with the video might be the camera poking into the edge of the screen now and then or the lighting flickering a little.

Music: After the rock music during the opening credits, none.

Borderline False Advertising: Once again the back cover lists See behind the scenes photos, future amateur tapes in production, and find out how you can be in a tape. underneath the webstite for Real Deal Amateurs. These are all things that can be found on the website, but it looks just as much like they’re included on the DVD, which I expected. It’s confusing, and had me a little ticked off when I didn’t find any of these things on the DVD. Combining this with the feature being over ten minutes shorter than advertised on the cover, I can’t help but penalize the overall rating of this DVD by a half point.

Menus: The menus are extremely basic. Neither are animated and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a photo and a scene number. In a very sloppy touch, the main menu also has Real Deal Amateurs: Real Naughty Wives and Girlfriends across the top rather than Real Deal Amateurs: Real Naughty Amateurs at Play!.

The Feature: The Real Deal Amateurs series works on a very simple premise. Many real people like to fuck just as much as porn stars do, and do so in a way that’s much easier to relate to. Each scene starts with the names of the people in the scene, and then goes right to the action.

Turquoise, a realistically built bleached blonde with big titties, a few tattoos, and pierced nipples, starts things off with Demetry, a thin black guy who finds his woman using a vibe on herself. This would have been a winner of a feature for me just with regular sex, but having a feature with couples working sex toys into their play makes it all the better for me. Many couples play with toys in bed, yet it’s something the mainstream porn world never catches on to. Here it’s worked into every scene and keeps the spirit of the feature up really well. My only complaint about the toy usage is that most of the scenes use the same style of toy, namely the Jackrabbit, which held some of the scenes back a little for me. I’ve been told that this is an amazing toy for women, but a little more variety would have been really nice. A little more afterplay could have also helped things out. Things were still going good at the end of almost every scene, and just a moment or two to see things starting to cool off can really help things out. Finally, a little ass play would have been great, and could have even been done so the couples both had to give and receive. Despite these minor complaints, The Real Deal Amateurs: Real Naughty Amateurs at Play! is a great amateur feature that’s well worth checking out.

Overall: The Real Deal Amateurs series can be hard to find at stores, but is readily available at their website. The stores that do carry parts of this series offer them for between $16 and $21. This is a very fair price here, despite the DVD being devoid of extras. The movie is extremely hot and has a lot of great sex with real people. The technical aspects are also very good, which seems to be next to unheard of in this genre. If you want something a little different, give The Real Deal Amateurs: Real Naughty Amateurs at Play! a try!

Note to BB Entertainment: First, pay a little more attention to your cover. Many people are highly annoyed when the feature doesn’t come close to the advertised length, especially when they see a name on the cover that didn’t appear in the feature. That said, it’s great to see your features improving (not that there was anything wrong with the other one I saw). Now please put a little effort into improving your overall DVD. Many of us don’t go to website for adult companies, so show us a little of what you have to offer on your DVD! A short interview with some of the people in the feature talking about why they wanted to do it would be great! So would a bonus scene of one of the scenes you didn’t think quite made the cut before. Most people are understanding of scenes that didn’t quite make it when you give it to them as an extra and say something like “This one just missed the cut for the feature”. You’ve got a great base here, now please give it a little polish.
