The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Lennox Films is a new company putting out porn made for women. I want to have hope here, but there’s so much porn that uses the “Made for women” excuse to mean that it’s boring as heck that I can’t help but be a little afraid.

Initial Reaction: Although it could use a lot tighter editing, it has a romantic style that’s a nice change.

Who Should Watch It : Couples wanting something slow and romantic

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting harder sex or plenty of sexual positions

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio isn’t a style I care for. It’s almost completely music, and only lets you hear the performers now and then. The scenes are shot outdoor and there often looks like there’s a fair amount of wind, which doesn’t help shooting conditions, but I always like to hear the performers as much as possible. The video is shot in high definition, but is presented in non-anamorphic widescreen. It has a slightly soft feel to it, and the lighting is normally nicely done.

Music: The music has a soft and romantic feel that works well for the feel of the movie. It also completely dominates the audio and rarely lets you hear the performers.

Menus: The main menu is okay, and works together the boxcover with a bit of animation. The chapter menu is very generic, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

Ranch House Lust keeps things simple. There are three scenes here that revolve around a ranch. There’s the midday tryst as Joey rides his horse around checking on things, the lust that comes out of a hot woman when she’s picked up by a guy in a tractor, and a little evening lovemaking with a glass of wine.

Scene 1 - Jezebelle Bond and Joey Ray

After riding his horse around a bit, Joey finds cute tattooed brunette Jezebelle waiting for him on a car wearing a jean skirt, a pink fuzzy cowboy hat, and a pink top. They kiss passionately before Joey drops down to work her over both from in front and in back through her white lacy panties. Jezebelle strips down and lets Joey start fucking her missionary style as she braces herself up on the cart so they can kiss while fucking. Jezebelle rolls around a little while they fuck, but never lets more than one buttcheek get off the wagon. She drops down to give Joey a little oral loving, and after he sucks and strokes her a bit he pops in the air.

This is an okay scene. It’s definitely on the softer side of things, and has a nice location as well as some very nice chemistry between Joey and Jezebelle. There’s plenty of smiles, and a caring feeling is easy to find in the scene. That said, it also seems to go on forever. This is only a one position scene and yet it lasts over twenty five minutes! Although this scene is very easy on the eyes and has plenty of chemistry, I think this would have been a much stronger scene if it would have been edited down to about half its length.

Scene 2 - Katin and John West

Buff brunette John, wearing only a pair of overalls and boots, arrives in the tractor to pick up Katin after she goes for a ride in decent equestrian dress. They kiss and caress each other before Katin drops down to suck John’s dong while giving him some nice eyes and frequently reaching up to caress his chest. He fucks her from behind before lying her back for a little missionary work. Finally, John pulls out and pops on Katin’s chest before giving her a nice kiss.

This is another likeable scene that goes on way too long. It’s very well captured once again, and I really like how the scene starts with the sun going down and has John and Katin making love well into the night. It’s a great touch that adds a bit of chemistry to the scene. They also seem to be into each other pretty well, as there’s plenty of kissing, caressing, and passionate looks between them. Okay, Katin does passionate looks and John does the same look he always seems to have on his face. Sadly, the scene seemed like it could have used a good edit. Thankfully there’s more than one position here, but even then, the scene goes on for roughly twenty five minutes with a blowjob and two positions. This is another passionate scene that seemed like it would have been stronger if it had been edited down.

Scene 3 - Taylor Lynn and Joey Ray

Joey starts the final scene in a cabin bringing blonde Taylor a glass of wine as she stretches out on the couch in a sexy black dress. He gives her a slow and passionate kiss and starts running his hands around her body after she takes a sip. They help each other undress and play around lightly before Joey makes his way down to lick her pussy. He moves up to fuck her missionary style before letting Taylor lie over the back of the couch as he nails her from behind. Finally, Joey pops on Taylor’s chest as she tries to see how far back her neck will stretch so that cum doesn’t get close to her face.

This is another overly long, but otherwise nicely done scene. I like the romantic start with the glass of wine, and Taylor is definitely easy on the eyes as she lies back on the couch. I’m thrilled to see more than one position here, but a little cocksucking to go with the pussy eating sure would have been nice to see here. Taylor’s cumdodging feeling at the end also held the scene back slightly, but there’s enough romance here that it didn’t hurt it too bad. This is another overly long but otherwise nice feeling scene.

Ranch House Lust leaves me with mixed feelings. It’s porn aimed at women, and since I’m obviously not a woman maybe I’m not looking at things right. As is, I see some very nice things and some things that didn’t work well for me. On the positive side of things, the scenes are very nicely shot and there’s some nice feeling in the scenes. Every scene has a romantic feeling, from the hookup outside during work to relaxing at night with a glass of wine. The setups are simple and nicely done. The outfits are also very nicely done, with the exception of Jezebelle’s city slicker “Look, I’m a fashionable cowgirl” getup which would cause most anybody outside of California or the city to pretty much laugh out loud. On the negative side of things is the variety of sex positions and the length of the scenes. To start with, there’s only two positions in the movie, doggie and missionary, which leaves the sex in a bit of a rut. I know there’s quite a few positions in porn today that seem like you need to be an acrobat to pull off, but I think most couples can also relate to spooning and cowgirl. Although there isn’t much variety in the scenes, the scenes are all roughly twenty five to thirty minutes long. With plenty of foreplay and oral back and forth before a few positions, that seems like a nice length. For one person to get a little oral love and then fuck in one or two positions, that seems extremely long to me. With only three scenes that don’t even last eighty minutes, the movie also seems extremely short to me. Ranch House Lust has some very nice ideas behind it, and with a few minor changes Baz and Sindee Coxxx should prove themselves a directing team that couples should pay attention to.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts almost four minutes with about five seconds per very nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. There’s also a behind the scenes featurette, a trailer for the movie, and a trailer for Inpulse TV.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts seventeen minutes. There’s plenty of chatting with John West, who comes off as an incredibly nice guy, as well as a little fun with him and Katin. There’s also plenty of the scenes being shot and the other things going on around the set put to music. It’s an okay behind the scenes featurette. If gets a bit of personality, but it also seems incredibly limited by only concentrating on one of the three couples. It’s also hurt by being so quiet I had to turn the volume up as high as it would go and I still couldn’t hear everything.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, Ranch House Lust can be found online for about $25. At this price I’d strongly suggest renting this one first or waiting until a few more stores carry it so the price can drop a little. Then if you’re looking for something slow and romantic, I’d definitely suggest checking this one out. The scenes are overly long, but definitely romantic. The technical aspects are nicely done and there’s a bit of effort put into the extras. For a newer company, this is a pretty impressive release.

Note to Lennox Films: Tighten things up a bit and you should have one heck of a good product on your hands. Also, if you’re going to shoot movies in the widescreen format, please give the movies the anamorphic transfer they deserve.
