Audio /Video Quality: The audio leaves more than a little to be desired. On the plus side, there aren’t any background noises, it’s decently balanced, and it synchs well with the video rather than relying on a lot of dubbing. Unfortunately there are a more than a few comments from the crew that are more than noticeable as well as plenty of noise from the still cameras. The video shows the age of the feature in an unflattering way. There’s a few shadows, more than a few remnants, and some extremely noticeable grain. It looks like it was mastered from a second or third VHS copy.

Music: The music shows why most everybody in the known world makes fun of porn music. It’s too loud, extremely cheesy, and sounds like it’s done in one guy on his “entire band in a keyboard” in his garage.

Menus: The menus leave absolutely everything to be desired. The main menu has no animation and there isn’t even a chapter menu.

The Feature: Things were great for Jerry Butler and Makala until their best friends Jonathan Morgan and Christina Appelighe move next door. After Jonathan interrupts their post-coital bliss, Jerry and Makala talk to each of them to try to see what the heck happened so they can get back at it. Not surprisingly, Jonathan and Christina’s stories are vastly different.

Makala and Jerry Butler start things out on a bed. Jerry energetically tongues and rubs her pussy before she gives him the same energy back gobbling his knob. Makala keeps the energy up as she rides Jerry reverse cowgirl style as well as doggie style. Finally, Jerry decorates Makala’s ass.

This is a slightly above average scene. I had a hard time getting into it because something about it seemed so incredibly cheesy, but Jerry and Makala put some great energy into the scene as well as some nice chemistry. Watching this scene I was reminded both of why people make fun of porn and why I kept watching it.

Steve Drake and Christina Appelighe, a fairly unattractive dirty blonde who has a couple tattoos that look just a little less professional than the kind given out by first time aspiring artists in prison, get it on in the second scene. Steve starts out sucking Christina’s tits while she diddles herself, and then lets her go right to sucking his cock. Steve eats her a little before fucking her missionary and doggie style. She titty fucks him until he’s ready to pop, and then lets Steve stroke it onto her tits.

This is a very average scene that I just couldn’t get into. The chemistry isn’t the best, and Christina seems to be in it for the money as much as the sex. I’m sure I’d be saying much different things if Christina would have looked good enough in the sack to get me past her looks, but she didn’t come close.

Jonathan Morgan gets it on with Toni Chase in the next scene. He works over her tits and snatch patiently before Toni puts some nice effort into sucking his schlong. They bump uglies missionary and doggie style before Jonathan pops on Toni’s pussy.

This is another pretty average scene. Toni gets into it nicely, but sadly you don’t get to see a lot of it due to the camera angles. Actually, Toni probably gets into it better than anybody else in the movie, and turns out one of the best performances here.

Christina Appelighe and Makala get into it for the next scene. They kiss before Christina goes down on Makala with her tongue and fingers. Christina also gives Makala a little vibe action before it’s time for payback.

This is another average at best scene. The girls are okay when they can just moan, but anytime it comes to lines or acting they show all the skill of a used Kleenex. The biggest problem in the scene is the editing, as midway through Makala’s reciprocation the scene goes back to the beginning!

Finally, Jerry Butler gets it on with Toni Chase. They exchange oral favors before energetically going at it missionary style. Finally, Jerry pops on Toni’s bush.

This is another borderline boring scene. Toni and Jerry have decent chemistry, but by this point I was so bored that I really couldn’t care. The only thing I got out of this scene was the full knowledge that Toni Chase is the best thing in this movie.

Raging Hormones leaves more than a little to be desired. The story is extremely weak, and shows why so many people mock porn movies. Even worse than that is that it’s very annoying. The sex isn’t quite as bad, but is close. It occasionally has some chemistry, normally when Toni Chase is in the scene, but is mostly lackluster and with too much of a focus on close-ups. The worst thing, however, is the acting. Christina Appelighe is okay sexually, but when it comes to acting I think a used condom can do a better impression of Bill Clinton than she can do of somebody wanting to have sex! Raging Hormones is easily skipped and is a great way to see just how far porn has come in the last fifteen years.

Overall: Currently, Raging Hormones can be found online for between $7 and $24 without much in between. If you have to watch this one, aim for the low end at the absolute max. The movie leaves much to be desired, the technical aspects are lacking, and there isn’t anything worth mentioning for extras.

Note to New Machine: When you put chapter breaks into a movie, please arrange them so that they actually correspond to something, such as the start of a sex scene, the pop shot, and the non-sex portion of the scene. These are the places people want to jump to!
