Pussy Is Not Enough 2, The Review

This is the second installment for this Platinum X Pictures series, in which these two noted European actor/directors have once again come to Los Angeles to shoot a gonzo film. You would expect them to find plenty of US women to shoot, but they choose from a variety of backgrounds, including German, Australian, Canadian as well as American. All the scenes are filmed at classy locations, mostly indoors.

Scene 1: Vicky Vette, Katya Kassin, Steve Holmes, Manuel Ferrara

       This scene starts off with the tall blonde (and Norwegian-born American) Vicky Vette playing a madam in a brothel, training a new girl in the house, petite German Katya, with blowjobs tips and some anal toy play. Katya is a quick learner, and this girl/girl interlude looked authentic enough, with the actresses playing their roles decently.

From this point, there's a lot of action, with everyone switching partners and positions every 3-4 minutes, though nothing seems disjointed or frenzied. Vicky does some mish anal with Steve, then it's her turn to be DP'ed. During this, Katya stays close by Manuel, as they kiss each other.
       There's a long time during which Manuel and Katya are in spooning anal with some more kissing; it looked like this was comfortable for both of them, so they kept with it. Then for a minute, Katya is DAP'ed by the two men - what do you know, she can do that too! Everything ends with the two men cumming on the women's faces. But just before the fadeout, Manuel stands Vicky up, fingers her hard and makes her 'squirt' (pee?) into Katya's mouth, for an unusual ending.
       This scene, though nearly 45 minutes long, was more like three short scenes that worked very well together, much better than if all four people had been in one room in one big group sex romp from the beginning. The chemistry between all the performers was quite good, better than average for a gonzo scene. The complimentary styles of Vicky and Katya worked well together – Vicky is an extrovert and somewhat vocal, while Katya is on the quieter side but is equally intense. The camera work by Michael Stefano was also good and captured on the essentials.

Scene 2: Monique, Steve Holmes, Michael Stefano

       Monique, the long-performing black actress, is out on a patio, demanding to know where her "two dicks" are, as she questions Manuel who's behind the camera. The first "dick" shows up when Steve arrives; he starts feeling her up and fingering her, while she's giving him a BJ.
       They all move indoors, where they catch Michael on a sofa. Monique blows both men at the same time, or one man is banging her while she is sucking on the other one. Much of the scene is taken up with double penetrations of the actress, with either one man or the other on top. At times, the camera shows a lot of close-ups, but not to the point that it gets boring.
       Monique is herself quite an energetic and vocal performer, but most of it sounds authentic. She's not a quiet one (and never has been), looking like a woman possessed, particularly when her eyes roll back and she gets this ecstatic look on her face. She may even have had an orgasm or two during the DP's.
       What makes this scene different from most gonzo ones is the way Monique spews out the trash talk, calling the men "her bitches", "you bastards", "you damn cocks", and so on. And the guys like it, they even look turned on by it.
       For anyone who's wondering, Monique never once calls herself a 'whore' or a 'slut'. It's evident that she has too much respect for her self to ever do that.

Scene 3: Maxine, Lauren Phoenix, Steve Holmes, Manuel Ferrara

       Lauren, a tall blonde in a garish day-glo pink outfit, and Maxine, a cute petite blonde in a flattering silver/black miniskirt and bra, are playing pool in a game room. Since this is a porn scene, they soon start feeling each other up and tongue-dueling, which leads to some pussy licking and rimming. The women show some 'passion' by moaning a lot; maybe they were enjoying this, maybe they were emoting.
       Upstairs in an elegant living room, Manuel is sitting with Steve, who ever the businessman is talking about his golf game. But when Lauren arrives with Maxine and chirpily says, "Here come some ho's," it's goodbye to any elegance. Maxine sits on Steve's lap, and he does a nice number feeling her up and fingering her. She starts getting vocal right away, almost shouting, before getting some mild face slaps from Manuel during the PTM.        As expected, the couples change positions and orifices every few minutes or so. Lauren is getting louder and louder with her moans and groans in CG with Steve, to the point that I could hardly make out what Manuel was saying to Maxine as she was doing RCG anal with him. About now, Manuel tries to get Steve's attention; although the big Frenchman is only sitting 10 feet or so from Steve, he has to shout out Steve's name four times before the other man hears him.
       The men start a DP on Maxine, who handles this well. Lauren is kneeling beside the other 3, and keeps up a running commentary of the action, as if the viewer can't figure out what is happening. Maxine then continues alone with Steve in RCG anal and looks like she might be enjoying this, or maybe it was just emoting. Steve more than likes the way Maxine rims him.
       Steve and Lauren next pair off for anal doggy. Now Lauren is so loud, she sounds like a woman giving birth without anesthesia, she's even grimacing like a woman in labor. Steve and Manuel then switch women, and the camera is now on Steve and Maxine. However, it's hard to pay attention to them, because off-camera Lauren lets out a loud groan. Was it a labor contraction or an orgasm? Only an obstetrician would know for sure.
       Suddenly off-camera, Lauren goes quiet. Did the baby arrive? No, Manuel stuck one of his big French feet into her mouth, finding that it worked quite well as a volume-control device. This literally was the only time that Lauren was quiet. I usually don't care for antics like this, but I was truly glad to see Manuel do this.
       There's another DP of Maxine, with Lauren once again providing color commentary of the action: Fuck her, Let me watch, Oh Oh OH OH AAAAAAAH!. Manuel takes the opportunity to slap Lauren's tongue, which does lower her volume a bit.
       It's time for the cum shots, which the women kneel for. Lauren pants like a dog and gets in some final moaning as Steve cums on her face. Then both women receive a facial from Manuel. The scene fades out, with the women mugging directly into the camera, as Manuel says off to the left, "Look at me."
       What's the biggest difference between this group sex scene and the first - THE DECIBAL LEVEL! As you might have gathered, I am not a fan of loud female caterwauling; I don't think it signals passion in the least. In this scene, Lauren's histrionics were so over the top, that it simply overwhelmed the performances of the other three, particularly Maxine. Too many times when the camera was on this cute blonde, Lauren's vocalizations were a distraction, making it hard to focus on the younger woman. Maxine did quite well, considering this was only her 11th scene; she occasionally mugged for the camera a bit too obviously, but her transgression was minor compared to those of Lauren.
       For those who are interested, several times throughout the scene, either Manuel or Steve place a hand around Lauren's throat, though they don't choke her. I couldn't tell if this was a signal of some sort for her to quiet down, or what. It didn't work.
       The camera work was somewhat off in this scene as well, even though it was shot by Michael Stefano, who also did the first. He often seemed to not know who or what to focus on, mostly due to Lauren's caterwauling, which he couldn't ignore for too long. Consequently, you see the camera flit from one couple to the other in a jerky fashion.
       There's some relevant footage in the BTS extras that sheds some light on what was going on when the main camera was turned off. There's 20 seconds or so of Manuel licking and kissing Lauren before the scene starts, and she's at about half the decibel level; you can clearly hear the other people in the room as they are being interviewed. I assume this is the real Lauren, not the phony one that comes alive when the main footage starts.
       There is as well some BTS footage of a break during the scene, where Manuel pulls Maxine up onto his lap for some simple CG sex (right screenshot above). They kiss and hold onto each other tight, making this one of the more erotic moments in the entire film; you even see Michael Stefano getting aroused watching these two. If only the rest of the scene could have has some of this eroticism.

Scene 4: Selena Silver, Manuel Ferrara

       Selena, lounging on a sofa in a silver lame mini dress, is joined by Manuel, and they immediately get down to business with some doggy sex; she can easily take his pounding and tells him it feels good. After smothering him, they start a long BJ sequence, with some gagging but also some kisses. When switching positions and getting ready for some CG sex, Manuel doesn't enter her right away, but teases her, making her say, "I want your cock in my pussy." These two also talk to each other a lot, though I didn't care much for Selena calling herself a 'slut' or a 'filthy whore'. All-in-all, it was one of the better couples scenes I've watched.

Overall Impressions: I generally liked the first, second and fourth scenes in this title. They were all the top-notch sort of offerings that I have come to expect from these two directors. The castings were good, the action was well-paced and everyone looked like they were enjoying each other.
       However, I didn't enjoy the third scene in the least, for the reasons I stated before. This female caterwauling that Lauren Phoenix indulges in, apparently this is her shtick and she's gets a lot of mileage out of it, but it totally turned me off. I would have liked the entire film more if she hadn't been in it.

DVD Extras: BTS footage, Photo gallery, cum shot recap, bonus footage, trailers

The BTS extra is long, about 40 minutes and very amusing. Most of it focuses on Manuel and his trials and tribulations being a porn actor, including what happened during his very first porn scene.

Renee's Wristwatch-O-Meter: This film rates a 7 out of a possible 7, a perfect score. At no time when a man is performing in a scene does he wear a watch, not even when he's clothed. For me, seeing a man wearing a large watch during a sex scene is a real fantasy killer.

Best line in Film: Vicky to Manuel, "You need a shave, buddy!" In the BTS extra, Manuel treats Vicky to some pussy licking before the scene starts. She suddenly pushes him away, telling him why. He gets this bewildered expression as he strokes his chin, trying to figure out what to do. But then Katya Kassin caresses his cheek, saying his unshaven face is so manly. He smiles, so happy that he doesn't have to shave after all.
