The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Shot at Home has impressed me with most of their features. I always go into their DVDs with high expectations.

Initial Reaction: It’s hands down (and up and down and up and down) the best handjob features I’ve seen.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who’s a fan of handjobs

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants to see only handjobs without any of the other body parts helping

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: Shot at Home’s movies are homemade videos, and I hesitate to compare them on the same scale as studio porn. Homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely have close to the same quality. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn. Since homemade features have such a great charm and the lower quality technical aspects contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review.

That said, Pump Friction 1 looks and sounds great! You can hear both the girls and the sounds of their stroking extremely well. There’s a few background noises and a little bit of a balance problem at times, but for a homemade feature it sounds great. The video is even better than the audio! It’s nicely lit and almost completely free of grain. You can tell that whoever’s doing the camera work here is using some fairly new equipment, and it really pays off here. As usual there’s a few soft focus blurs, a little camera shake, and a few areas where the camera doesn’t seem to know where it should be pointed, but that’s fairly normal.

Menus: The menus are simple, but work. The main menu keeps a standard form, but it fits the homemade aspect of the movies extremely well. The chapter menus are just as simple and let you choose a scene based on a still from each chapter.

The Feature

Pump Friction 1 collects three scenes which are completely unrelated other than each one being a POV handjob. The name of the girl pops up nicely before the scene so that you know who you’re going to see , and there isn’t any fast forward fodder filler such as interviews with the girls to get in the way of the action.

Scene 1 - Britney Madison and a guy

Bottle blonde Britney starts things out on her back squirting a little lube on her hand and between her tits as she starts stroking the cock. She mixes it up with a little titty fucking while trash talking and moaning almost nonstop. Britney takes a nice pop on her chin to bring things to a close, but doesn’t stop talking while he pops. Finally, she waves goodbye and blows a kiss.

This is a pretty good scene! Britney does a great job in her trash talking, and it really helps the scene out. I love how she mixes in some titty fucking, as I think it’s something done far less that than it should be, and she looks like she’s having a great time. This is a very nice way to start out the feature.

Scene 2 - Claire James and a guy

Big tittied and tattooed brunette Claire starts things off breaking out her 36D natural tits before going to work stroking her partner’s cock. She plays to the camera quite a bit, both talking to it and looking at it. She slaps it around a bit after stroking it a while, and even gives her partner’s balls a good squeeze. After plenty of stroking, talking, and smiling eyes, Claire takes her partner’s ball butter on her face. She looks just as happy getting it as she did working up to it, and waves and says goodbye before the camera fades out.

This is a really fun scene. I’ll admit that I wasn’t overly impressed with Claire’s looks at first, but her enthusiasm really saves the scene. More than that, it makes the scene works by showing that sometimes the girl who isn’t quite as pretty does a much better job because she might be into it because she enjoys it more. That’s exactly how this scene comes off, as Claire makes this one a winner!

Scene 3 - Suzette and a guy

Twenty year old brunette Suzette starts things off talking to the camera and turning around to show what she’s got. She talks about working at Cheetah’s and getting guys to bust in their pants before giving a little demonstration of her lap dance techniques. After getting her partner ready with the lap dance, he has Suzette give him a handjob. Suzette lets her mouth help, both sucking and talking, and even calls her partner “Daddy” as she strokes him. Finally she takes his pop on her cheek, turning away as she strokes him to miss the major blast, before saying bye, waving, and blowing a kiss.

This was an excellent scene, and easily the best in the feature. I love how Suzette mixes things up with the tease, stroking, and sucking, and she plays to the camera just right. Everything about this scene was a winner for me, right down to her calling her partner “Daddy”, which surprised me by how it kicked things up. This is a great scene to finish things with, and I really hope this isn’t the last I see of Suzette!

Pump Friction 1 is a great handjob feature. There’s a nice variation in both looks and styles between the girls, and they all look like they’re having a good time. My main complaint about it is that since it’s mostly a POV feature, the editing cuts are really noticeable, but that varies from scene to scene. Suzette easily has the best scene in the feature, but Claire comes in a surprisingly close second. I’m not much of a fan of handjob features, but Shot at Home really strikes gold here. Pump Friction 1 is a very nicely done handjob feature that proves that this genre doesn’t have to be a one trick pony.

The Extra Stuff

Six previews are included which last over a half hour total. Each preview is nicely identified and has its own chapter to make it very easy to skim and to know what movie to check out if you enjoy the preview.

Currently, most Shot at Home DVDs can be found online for about $20. If you’re a handjob fan, pick this one up right away! The action has a nice bit of variety and keeps itself focused very well. The technical aspects are excellent for homemade features, and there’s even a half hour of extra footage from other Shot at Home releases as extras. This is a very nicely done DVD!
