The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Robby D. and Digital Playground, the technical aspects are extremely well done. The audio is very well balanced, and although there were a couple minor background noises, they were very minor. The video is much the same, starting with an anamorphic widescreen presentation. The scenes are all very nicely lit and there's barely any grain. There's also none of the annoying camera motion that holds back many other POV releases.

Music: None

Borderline False Advertising: The front cover states ”Director's Cut Duration: Over 3 Hours”. This might be true for the entire DVD, but the feature doesn't even last two hours and forty minutes. Yes, the bonus / extra footage lasts nearly a half hour, but “Bonus” and “Extra” mean that it's beyond what's there, and in my opinion should not be included in the normal running time. Since this is enough time to include another full scene, I'm deducting a half point from the overall score because of it.

Menus: The main menu is pretty good, and works from opening credits for the movie into a still with a few photos on it. The chapter menu breaks slightly out of the typical chapter number and small clip format, but not by much. There's also a fetish menu that lets you jump directly to specific sex acts such as anal, titty fucking and cumshots.

The Feature

With Pulse POV, Robby D. takes his Handheld Pictures label into the POV direction. There's no Jack here, but Robby appears behind the camera in every scene with several of his girlfriends, helpers, and friends. Scene 1 – Holly Morgan and Scott Nails as the body double for Robby D.

Although this often leads to POV disasters, Robby's use of Scott Nails as a stunt cock works very well throughout the movie. The other thing that really sets this one apart is the amount of tease in each scene. The scenes average a half hour each, and I think roughly half of each scene is tease. Although I love teases, they did get a little long here and ended up leaving the sex feel like it was cut short in a couple of the scenes. This seems like the biggest problem many people would have with this movie. Beyond that, I really liked the movie. I can't say that it blew me away like no other POV porno, but it did have a very fun feeling and everybody looked like they were having a lot of fun in each scene. Holly might be my favorite girl in the movie, but there really isn't a bad scene in the movie. Pulse POV is a very enjoyable POV movie that's surprisingly heavy on the tease.

The Extra Stuff

There are no extras on the first DVD except for contact information and a list of the extras contained on the second DVD. The second DVD, however, has some nicely done extras. The photo gallery contains nearly fifty great looking snapshots and full screen photos. Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. If you want POV porn that's a bit more laid back, this one should be very well worth your money. The scenes are heavy on the tease but all have a fun feeling to them. The technical aspects are very nicely done, and there's even some nice effort put into the extras with a great bonus scene. This is a very nicely done POV release.

Note to Handheld Pictures / Digital Playground: Please be a little more careful with your cover claims. When you put out movies and DVDs this good I hate having to knock it back due to the cover claims not being quite true!
