I've written up this review so as to avoid any overt spoilers, but I will note that if you're looking to come into this scene fully fresh, you may want to consider whether or not to read this one.
Review:
An intriguing phone call and an extreme need for cash lead a tatted, pink-haired private eye (Chantal Danielle) out to a cheap, middle-of-nowhere motel in the California desert...and embroil her in a sexually-laced political plot along the way. How things will ultimately turn out is anybody's guess, but one thing that's certain is that Chantal will come out on top...one way or the other! So goes Pulp Friction, a short-but-steamy sequence from Deeper and director Derek Dozer that pays homage to such cult classics as its mainstream namesake ("Pulp Fiction"), Frank Miller's "Sin City", and so on. Complete with a vintage hotrod, subterfuge, smoke-filled encounters, a desolate setting, and a deadpan voiced-over narration, this quick flick effectively evokes the gritty atmosphere for which its striving. Indeed, from start to finish, the audience is pulled in for the ride.
The cinematography is top-notch, as well, featuring drone-captured(?), overhead shots of Chantal's car as she heads out into the desert, well-cut and -edited scenes throughout, and an impeccable use of lighting. The musical score casts the mood well, as needed, and the sex itself--between Chantal and a philandering mayoral candidate (Manuel Ferrara)--is raw, palpably passionate, and captured perfectly...particularly as sunlight peeks in through their low-end, motel room window.
Of course, as noted, Ferrara and Chantal fuck it out with unbridled abandon, as they transition from one sexy, pulse-pounding position to another. Along the way, there's oral action (both directions), spooning, doggie-style, missionary...and the smooth-shaven vixen that is Ms. Danielle rides Manuel's uncut cock into oblivion in cowgirl and reverse-cowgirl, as well. Ferrara ultimately splashes her splayed-open ass-crack and pouty pucker in closing out this bit of nefarious nookie...and the plot ties up quickly, thereafter. So fucking hot!
(The only real downside? It isn't longer, and the audience doesn't get to see more...)
