"Provocations" is another one of Steve Morelli’s European stories translated into English with multiple titles. On the box cover, it’s called "Provocations". In the script the actors use, it’s "Provocazione". On the DVD menu, it’s "Provocazioni". And in the Behind-The-Scenes video, it’s "LaPrima Volta".

We start out with… a gas station. Why a gas station? We don’t know. But once the credits start rolling, the scene changes to fitness center, with a smooth-talking trainer making the moves on straying wife Marta (Maria Bellucci). She talks to her friend Lizzie (Sophie Evans), who is strapped for money now that her husband died and the insurance money is running out. Marta suggests renting out parts of Lizzie’s house, which she’s reluctant to do, but does along with the idea… as long as she doesn’t rent to any guys. (Yeah, we know exactly where THIS is going, don’t we?)

After Lizzie leaves, Marta picks up the phone… which brings us back to the gas station. Seems the guy fueling up his Euro-mobile is in need of a place to stay while his book sells. She goes ahead and makes the deal and then catches up with Lizzie and sells her the idea.

Later on, Lizzie’s daughter Eleanor (Asia D’Argentino) meets up with her mother and throws a little temper tantrum about the news that they’re taking in a boarder. (Huh? That’s her DAUGHTER? What the fuck? When did Lizzie get pregnant, when she was two? That’s some really bad casting.) Eleanor head off in a huff.

Eleanor hangs out with her boyfriend and their two friends and complains about her STEP-mom (okay, that explains it). The two couples break away for some sexual encounters. David and Laura are quick to get it on in a gazebo. He starts pushing and pulling on her clothes then starts in on her pussy. Then it’s her turn to push and pull his clothes so she can kneel down and suck his cock. Later Lizzie and Steven go back to her room, and it’s clear they both want each other. They start undressing each other in her bed, and she goes down on him eagerly. How does it end? Well I won’t give it away, but I will say that it’s somewhat dry.

Overall the story’s pretty lame. Okay, sure, we’re talking European porn, but still that doesn’t excuse the really cheesy story. A spoiled bitchy prude and her widowed stepmother making the play for the same guy without any of the backstabbing and catfights that one would expect with such a story? I’m sorry, but I’m not buying it. Then there’s the casting. Asia D’argentino is obviously attractive, but she doesn’t make for a good spoiled young bitch, which is what Eleanor is supposed to be. Once again the English dubbing doesn’t help matters much. It really brings out Eleanor’s spoiled bitch character, but without the facial body English to help, the dubbing makes it that much more cheesy. Likewise, Sophie Evans seems a little too young to play the grieving widow. Plus, she certainly doesn’t dress like someone still pining for her late husband. The story would have been much more plausible if Eleanor and Lizzie were sisters and not stepmother-and-daughter. Then the casting would have been just right.

And like another Steve Morelli movie I reviewed, the names I used in this review were NOT the names given in the credits. This is yet another faux pas with English dubbing, trying to Americanize a clearly European movie by giving European characters American names. So Eleanor is "Ylinia", Steven is "Stefano", and Lizzie is "Elisa". It’s really stupid.

In terms of extras, we have a fifteen minute behind-the-scenes video where we are introduced to THREE different titles for this movie, we have a segment devoted to just to cumshots, a one-page link to their website, an automatic photo gallery, and a quick promo for the company that made the DVD. It’s not much, but slightly better than your average fare.

All-in-all, this is an okay video if you don’t mind cheesy European stories, and if you can get it for under fifteen dollars.
