Initial Expectations: I’m really not sure what to expect. With Private and Michael Ninn I want to have high expectations, but I was so disappointed with Private Interactive that I’m afraid to have high expectations here.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who doesn’t want to hear muthafucker at least fifty two times in a fifty two minute movie

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very good. The audio is crisp and clear, as is the video. The audio synchs pretty well with the video, and is fairly comparable to middle of the road cartoons. The mouths move, but it’s more of an open and close motion rather than the trying to approximate some of the complexities of speaking.

Music: The music is clear and nicely balanced with the rest of the audio. It often has a R&B or hip hop feel that really fits the feature.

Menus: The menus are pretty good. The main menu has some decent animation and music to give the DVD a great first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature: Darnel “Da Black Bone” Johnson, head of 2funky4U studios, is needing money for his latest adult movie. He goes to Big Mama, a very large black woman for help, and finds that she’s more than willing to finance him for a little something in return. Big Mama doesn’t get enough loving to satisfy her, and wants a bit of action from Da Black Bone if she’s going to give them any money. She also makes them hire her gay nephew Lamont to help them, who’s more than a little interested in Rock Hard, the male lead. The movie they’re making is a pretty standard black gangster movie, with Rock Hard managing a club and getting in a turf war with Biggie Small, a rival club owner and everybody fucking as much as they can. It’s broken apart fairly regularly with commercials from 2funky4U, for everything you might need.

Darnel “Black Bone” Johnson gets busy with Big Mama, a large black woman, when she demands she get some action if she’s going to finance his next movie. He eats her pussy before fucking her from behind, and his cameraman Chlovee “The Curve” Crawford joins in when she thinks she needs something more. Black Bone even goes so far as jackhammering her with a toy to try and satisfy her, but ends up with a broken cock when Chlovee’s pop knocks her back against Black Bone and into the wall. It’s a good scene with some great humor. It’s not exactly wanking material, but with a feature like this, I wasn’t really expecting it.

Rock Hard (think Ah-nold) takes on Bodacious Tallas on his desk during his tryout for a part in Black Bone’s movie. He licks her snatch and then bends her over the desk to fuck her while her animated tits jiggle around about as much as the normal star’s implants. Come to think of it, they even look about like the average star’s implants. She moves on to ride him as he sits back in his chair and on his desk before Rock launches a monster load onto her face. It’s more of a standard porn scene done in an animated style, but still has some great humor in it.

Biggy Small watches and smokes his cigar as he has a white and black girl get busy in front of him. The girls move on to suck Biggy’s cock before he works his way between the girls. The girls get busy with each other a little as well, and finally take an impressive pop from Biggy. It’s another fun scene, but the animation just didn’t seem to line up as well as in some of the

Finally, Sassy Chocolate gets busy with Rock Hard next, sucking and then riding him. She works him over on his chair and on the desk before bending over and letting him fuck her from behind. He finally unleashes his load on her back. It’s another decent scene, but by now felt very similar to the other scenes.

Of course, the main thing people are going to want to know about is how the animation looks. Much of the time I felt like I was watching a damn good video game. Everything is very crisp and clear, but the motion often feels stiff. Everybody moves, but it doesn’t always seem like a natural movement. There were also times when it seemed like things weren’t quite lined up, such as when Biggie Small takes on the two girls. One of the girls is supposed to be eating the other, but her head is about a foot above her. The other girl doesn’t seem to notice and goes on like she’s getting some. Finally, it felt a bit repetitive at times, like the video was just set to cycle to make the couple fuck. For a first effort in the adult field it’s pretty impressive, but don’t go in expecting Toy $tory.

2funky4U is definitely a unique adult film, and I wouldn’t have thought it would come from Private. The movie itself is mostly a sendup of all black movies, of which the title should give you a hint. I’ve never really been entertained by these movies, which might be partially due to losing interest once I head muthafucker used at every possible chance as well squeezing it in a few more places. The first few times I’ll admit that I smiled a little at the joke, but after that I started to lose interest about as fast as you can say “Freddie Got Fingered”. The movie mostly felt like it was aimed at the black market, which to me just didn’t seem that wise. A lot of people, myself included, are going to be checking this DVD out simply due to wondering how well Private and Michael Ninn can do an animated feature. 2funky4U isn’t a bad movie, it’s just not particularly my thing. There’s a lot of humor in it (such as commercials for Pimp Slap in a Box, Lamont’s Love Lube, Big Mama’s Horse 90 Malt Lick Her douche, and Mykey Pimpalish’s Hi Top Platfrom Sneekzilla shoes), and some of the jokes in the sex scenes were enough to keep me mildly interested. If you’re interested in 2funky4U, give it a rent before you shell out the big bucks.

Extras: Trailers are included for Perfect, In the Arms of Evil, The Private Life of Claudia Ricci, Private Castings 11, and Private Reality 8, as well as 2funky4U. The production notes don’t really tell you anything about the production of the feature, but instead feel like an overdone press release. Remix is an eight minute music video that’s all done with the same animation style as the feature. It’s a great extra that fits perfectly with the DVD. A cast listing does nothing more than let you select one of the characters from a group shot and give you a picture of that person and their name. This seems like a missed opportunity, since with a little creativity, Private and Michael Ninn could have built up a fun past for each of the characters, or even put together a small screen or two story for each of them. Finally, there’s a typed interview with Michael Ninn that’s pretty interesting.

Raincoat Factor: Medium low

Overall: Currently, 2funky4U can be found online for between $20 and $35 with most stores offering it near the low end. This doesn’t seem like too bad of a price, if for no other reason than this does not look like it was a cheap movie to make. I’d suggest renting this one first since it’s not for everybody, is a fairly short feature, and I don’t think is going to have a lot of replay for most people. The transfer is good, but the extras seem more than a little weak for something like this.

Note to Private: You’ve got a good start here, but I can’t help but be disappointed with the extras. For Private’s first animated feature I would have loved to have seen a few behind the scenes features. Showing some of making the animation would have been great, as would be as a few interviews with the voices. I can’t help but think that the extras on this DVD should have run as long as the feature itself.
