I picked this up mainly because it's a Private Movie, looks like a high production value film with a big pair of tits right on the cover. Good enough. When I watch it I realize it's another new experiment by Private: send European director Andrea Di Angelo to the US and see what he can do with an All-American cast.

Scene 1: Tory Lane and (Frank) Brooke Heaven calls up her husband Frank (I don't the actor's name) at work to see she can have lunch with him. But he's actually at a rendevous with Tory Lane and lies through his teeth to get her off the phone.

Making Off: This 16 minutes feature is actually quite good. The average for Private Making of or Behind the scene is nothing more than an extended promotional trailer with a few behind the scene shots. This time we are spared the tiresome voiceover. We get to see Andrea di Angelo does his director thing, both for talking scene and humping scene. Brooke gets into and out of the pool a few times and Penny taking a break between cuts was also entertaining.

Girl profiles: For me this is helpful since I am not familiar with American porn stars, so with the profiles I can identify which girl is in which scene. Otherwise, it tells you nothing more than the fact that they are all Americans and are, except for Shay Sights, doing their first Private production. Normally Private's extra discloses the girls' age, but not in this case, tellingly.

Overall Private almost never put together a decent story. But this time the story works for me except for the crazy ending. Most of the story is about sex and relation which is the most natural theme for porn. Brooke's character was disgusted by the idea of having sex with strangers for money but ended up becoming a high class whore herself. Since Brooke's character starts off as a normal married woman, one would expect she needs a bit of help easing into her new career and out of her cloths. Unfortunately this film is singularly lacking in foreplay, when in fact the story warrants some gentle pacing into the hardcore actions. A bit more on kissing, undressing and fondling would go a long way building up some tension and atmosphere. The talking scenes are short and to the point. And the acting in the talking scenes are remarkably good by porno standard, even the ridiculous dialogue at the ending was delivered professionally. This helps the story along and makes me care about the characters. The sex scenes are all serviceable with some good moments in each. The action is vigorous but nowhere near gonzo. Only Kelly Wells get DP'd and the best looking girl didn't get anal. Personally only scene 5 with Penny Flame stands out as worth repeated viewing. She has a good body, natural tits and excellent acting during sex. Ironically her scene has nothing at all to do with the story.

A good point is that the voices sound as if they were recorded live. At least the swoons, moans and groans all sound very good. Even when Brooke gets barely two inches of cock in her pussy, she sounds very orgasmic.

There is one issue with video quality which knocked a whole point off A/V quality and half a point off the overall rating. The picture frame is 4:3 letterbox! Which means that on my widescreen TV, almost half of the screen is wasted on black margins. Either make a 4:3 film or transfer it to a widescreen format. For a 2006 release, letterbox is totally not acceptable. Buyer beware! Otherwise, the video quality is very good and a bit unforgiving on the less-than-flawless bodies. Even Brooke Heaven and Penny Flame revealed some stretch marks and celluloid.

Overall, this is an interesting DVD. An all-American cast directed with a semi-European approach. The 4:3 letterbox transfer is downright tragic. It may be worth the $15 if you like Brooke Heaven, otherwise, rent it for Penny Flame.
